Build relationships with in-person connection across our teams and clients, with flexibility to balance work and life
Join our Audit & Assurance practice as a Director in Sydney, working in a hybrid way to lead complex accounting conversations and help shape how technical excellence shows up across the firm.
What will your typical day look like?
At this level, you'll lead the development of accounting technical tools, publications and practical guidance that support both audit teams and clients navigating complex IFRS and financial reporting issues. You'll bring strong judgement to emerging technical questions, help shape Deloitte's point of view on key accounting matters, and guide teams through issues that need more than a standard interpretation.
A big part of the role is influence - building trusted relationships across the practice, advising senior stakeholders, and lifting capability through coaching and clear technical direction. Your input will help drive consistency, quality and confidence in how complex reporting matters are approached, while also contributing to the broader strategic direction of the Accounting Technical offering.
You'll work closely with senior leaders, audit teams and specialists across the business, bringing together technical depth, commercial thinking and a practical mindset. The role offers variety, visibility and the opportunity to shape both client outcomes and the future direction of the team.
