What will your typical day look like?

Working with our National Operate leadership as well as Business Unit and Growth organisation to drive the Operate strategy across Australia. Engaging with clients and client-facing teams to solution unique proposition to solve client problems. Defining and outlining market relevant thought leadership and points of views and driving sales and origination.

The Operate Director is a critical role in delivering against our Operate strategy and transformation objectives. The role will help to build capability across the Australian region and support origination, sales, solutions and commercials for Deloitte’s managed service offerings.

The successful candidate will drive a range of initiatives under the Operate strategy that focus on the following areas:

  • Strategic thought leadership
  • Sales pursuit enablement & process transformation
  • Support bid and contract management
  • Connecting, integration & collaboration across the Deloitte network to help origination and sales campaigns
  • Drive the uplift of capability amongst the team

 

This role is a rare opportunity to drive the Operate strategy across Australia, working in the most innovative professional services firm and working closely with the Operate leaders in delivery on the firm’s strategy. The Operate portfolio is varied, and the candidate will work closely with some of Deloitte’s most diverse clients. The role will also interact with other firm functions including the various business units, Operate Lead partners, Business Development and Talent teams.

 

About the team

The National Operate Team is responsible for the execution and management of the Operations strategy and provides thought leadership, sales & operational enablement and program oversight into delivery of the overall Operate strategy.

The Australian Operate strategy is aligned with our global Operate ambition to embed continuous advantage and is a core pillar of Deloitte’s aspirational transformation agenda centred on software assets, alliances, operate and delivery centres. Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

The successful candidate will ideally have 10+ years’ experience in a similar managed service strategy, sales & pursuits and execution roles and demonstrate the ability to:

  • Input into thought leadership on the Australian Operate strategy by supporting the team with establishing the infrastructure, resources, and systems, KPIs and best practices to truly unify the program into a single strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with local, regional and global teams to develop, establish, and direct the Global Delivery Network and industry strategies, programs, and best practices to enable customer value.
  • Support the pursuit teams with bid & pipeline development.
  • Strengthens the relationships within Operate community, ensuring a positive experience in all aspects of the sales and delivery lifecycle
  • CPA, CA, MBA or similar Finance & Accounting qualifications
