About the team
The current global situation presents many challenges for companies - that’s where we come in. Combining tax research and data analytics, we give advice on global compensation, visa and work permits, employment taxes, personal tax compliance and policy design for many of the world’s largest companies and their employees.
What will your typical day look like?
You will work as part of the GES team to support and advise some of Australia’s and the world’s largest and most innovative companies. You will work in an advisory capacity, assisting our clients to navigate complex employer tax or migration matters, and understand and support their respective business needs.
The teams listed below are part of our GES practice:
Employment Tax: You will work with a diverse client portfolio spanning various industries and sectors. The work itself will include advising on key legislative requirements related to payroll, PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax, and fringe benefits tax (FBT). Given the unique challenges each client presents, you’ll have the opportunity to continuously expand your expertise in this dynamic, ever-changing area of tax.
Global Mobility Tax: You will work as part of the Deloitte Global Employer Services (GES) team to support and advise some of Australia’s and the world’s largest and most innovative companies. In this role, you will provide advice to international assignees about the Australian tax implications of their assignments, as well as helping them meet their Australian tax compliance obligations. You will also support and advise corporate clients with tax and policy issues arising from their global mobility programs.
Equity & Incentives: You will advise on successful rewards programs, utilising innovative solutions to address complex challenges for our global clients. Your role will involve assisting clients in managing income tax and legal obligations related to both local and international share plan participants. You’ll also provide guidance on income tax withholding requirements during vesting cycles and support year-end reporting for global equity plans.
Immigration: You will assist clients and applicants with their Australian immigration needs, focusing primarily on business migration. Your role involves developing tailored immigration strategies, providing advice, and preparing a wide range of visa applications. You'll collaborate closely with clients to offer updates, guidance throughout the process, and ensure an exceptional experience.
