About the team 
The Global Innovation team is a small, high‑impact, globally distributed team working across time zones and geographies. The Global Chief Innovation Officer and Global Innovation Director are both based in Sydney, Australia. We also have team members based in the US and in India. We partner closely with senior Global leaders, Member Firm innovation teams, and subject‑matter experts across the Deloitte network.

 

We focus on sensing and shaping next‑frontier opportunities—from emerging and converging technologies, to new business and operating models, to the future of professional services itself. Our work blends rigorous insight, creativity, and practical delivery: exploring what’s possible, testing ideas through programs and pilots, and helping the network move from insight to action. We are curious by default, pragmatic in execution, and focused on producing insights and outcomes that matter at a global scale.

 

What will your typical day look like?
As a Senior Consultant in the Global Innovation team, you will work closely with the Global Innovation Director, Global Innovation team and Member Firm stakeholders  to design, test, and scale innovation initiatives that shape Deloitte’s future. You will act as a thought partner and delivery lead on priority pieces of work, running defined workstreams end-to-end and contributing insights that inform strategic decision-making at a global level.

 

Our work is highly collaborative and dynamic. You will work with other team members and independently on a wide variety of projects, lead defined pieces of work end‑to‑end, operate comfortably in ambiguity, and balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery.

 

Your work will span emerging technology domains, new business models, and innovation programs designed to help Deloitte anticipate and respond to next‑frontier opportunities. You will collaborate across geographies and functions, helping to build global networks that enable ideas and initiatives to scale.

 

Examples of impactful work include:

  • Conducting market, industry, and ecosystem analysis to identify emerging trends, white-space opportunities, and implications for professional services
  • Supporting the design and delivery of global innovation programs, pilots, and initiatives across priority domains (e.g. next‑frontier technologies, future of professional services, new operating and business models)
  • Developing quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform investment decisions, strategic priorities, and program design
  • Preparing high‑impact materials for senior stakeholders, including strategy decks, research outputs, and executive briefings
  • Supporting stakeholder engagement by developing clear narratives, discussion materials, and points of view for global leaders
  • Contributing to the development of global innovation communities and networks to share insights, accelerate learning, and scale initiatives across regions

 


Enough about us, let’s talk about you.  

You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:

 

  • Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, innovation, corporate strategy, research, or similar roles within a global organization
  • Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate qualifications (e.g. MBA, Master’s) preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience with quantitative and qualitative research
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholders and geographies
  • Experience working on innovation programs, emerging technology topics, or new business model development (preferred but not essential)
  • Familiarity with AI tools and working with AI in day-to-day work (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience designing or supporting pilots, experiments, or new initiatives in ambiguous environments (preferred but not essential)
