What will your typical day look like
In this role, you will work within the following areas:
Regulatory/ Corporate Compliance:

Support preparation and submission of corporate filings with corporate registries and regulators in the UK, US, EU, and other relevant jurisdictions.

Support preparation and submission of ESG compliance obligations, as well as other statutorily mandated reporting obligations.

Interpret and advise on various regulations (e.g., corporate and ESG requirements).

Help business teams operationalise legal and regulatory requirements

Support review of press releases and other external communications.
Corporate Governance:
- Supports member firm funding arrangements
- Supports know-your-client processes with banks and other counterparties
- Supports preparation and submission of US SEC filings
- Provides legal support on a variety of DTTL finance related initiatives and projects
General Legal Matters:
- Provides general legal support for transactions, and other corporate related matters
- Provides legal support in the areas of corporate governance, including relating to our governing documents and board resolutions.
- Works closely with Deloitte Global and member firm business and legal leaders around the world

Global General Counsel provides legal guidance and expertise to Deloitte Global, the broader Deloitte organization, and our business leaders. We advise on regulatory, claims, and corporate legal matters, as well as additional issues that may pose novel or unique situations.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
You will have the following experience and qualifications:

An LLB (or equivalent law degree) from a highly regarded law school.

Minimum of 5-7 years as a practicing attorney, ideally with in-house counsel experience in corporate compliance and corporate governance.

Experience supporting the preparation and submission of corporate filings with corporate registries and regulators in the UK and other jurisdictions.

Experience supporting the preparation and submission of ESG filings in the UK and EU.

Experience supporting Boards and Executives on UK corporate governance matters and corporate governance best practices.

Experience with or willingness to learn about know-your-client processes with banks and other counterparties.

Highly client-service oriented with a proven commitment to quality.

Experience with cross-functional teams such as finance, sustainability, procurement, and risk.

Ability to build and maintain business relationships across the Deloitte network and externally.
