Job Requisition ID: 41311
- Work with complex enterprise datasets, AI-enabled analytics and scalable data automation
- Be part of a collaborative team that values diverse perspectives and empowers you to make a difference for our clients and communities.
- Enjoy flexible work arrangements, world-class learning opportunities, and the support you need to thrive and grow.
About the team
You’ll be joining the Digital Assurance Data team, a group of data analysts, scientists, engineers and management consultants who sit at the centre of Deloitte’s AI, analytics and automation transformation capability across Audit & Assurance and our clients.
Our team delivers scalable analytics solutions across a broad range of industries including resources, energy, financial services and government. We work across large and often messy enterprise datasets, helping Audit & Assurance (A&A) teams to re-imagine delivery processes and clients to improve insight, transparency and decision-making.
What will your typical day look like?
You’ll work alongside experienced professionals to deliver data-driven AI-enabled solutions across client engagements and support strategic transformation initiatives while continuing to build your capability through real project experience. One day you might be preparing and analysing large transactional datasets from multiple source systems; the next, automating data preparation workflows using SQL and Python or developing dashboards that help stakeholders understand operational, financial or risk trends.
You’ll be trusted to contribute to real client work from the outset while being supported through coaching, collaboration and structured learning. The role involves:
- Collaborating with A&A teams, clients and technical specialists to translate business problems into analytical solutions
- Preparing, transforming and analysing client data and often large complex datasets using SQL and Python
- Performing data quality checks and reconciliations and anomaly analysis with stakeholders to support reliable and defensible outcomes
- Developing data visualisations in Power BI / Tableau to communicate actionable insights to clients, helping them make informed decisions based on clear and engaging data stories
- Using AI-assisted tooling and modern analytics approaches to improve delivery efficiency and problem solving
- Communicating findings, risks and progress effectively while continuing to build your technical and consulting capability
You won’t be expected to know everything from day one. You’ll be supported through structured learning, feedback and collaboration.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You are someone with….
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in data analytics or engineering experience
- Proficient in Python and SQL for data ETL, analysis and automation
- Exposure to AI-assisted analytics or development tools and an interest in emerging AI technologies
- Strong problem-solving capability and attention to detail when working with data
- Experience developing data visualisations, dashboards and interactive data applications using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Streamlit or similar tools
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in continuous learning
- The ability to work across multiple priorities in a dynamic professional services environment
