Join Deloitte Business Finance as a Consultant in Financial Integrity & Controls, where you'll help keep financial processing, reporting and controls accurate, timely and compliant.

What will your typical day look like?

You'll support month-end and year-end close activities, prepare reconciliations and supporting schedules, and assist with journal preparation, processing and compliance evidence. The work also includes weekly and monthly reporting production and distribution.

A big part of the role is monitoring data quality, hierarchies, rates and cost structures, while tracking AR, pending cash, WIP and revenue adjustment items. You'll also investigate variances, anomalies and control exceptions, helping maintain strong financial integrity across the business.

Working across Finance and the business, you'll respond to queries, build effective relationships and escalate issues appropriately. There is also scope to identify simple process, automation and communication improvements, so you'll have the chance to strengthen how the team works over time.

About the team

Business Finance's Financial Integrity & Controls team is focused on delivering accurate, timely and compliant financial processing, reporting and controls activities that underpin the firm's financial integrity. The team works across core finance processes including close, reporting, reconciliations, governance support, data quality and control adherence .

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:

• A qualification in finance, accounting or commerce

• 1-3 years of relevant experience 

• Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to your work 

• Foundational financial systems knowledge 

• Experience preparing journals, reconciliations and reporting accurately 

• An understanding of financial policies, controls and accounting principles 

• Clear communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across Finance and the business 

• A curious, organised and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
