About the Team


Our Investment, Wealth & Advisory (IW&A) team is part of the broader Consulting practise at Deloitte. The IW&A team focus on advisory and implementation services across the investment and wealth value chain, including target operating model design, vendor and service provider selection and operational risk assessment and due diligence.

What will your typical day look like?

The role supports Directors / Partners within the IW&A team to deliver engagements around operating model design, service provider selection and operational due diligence.  You will be exposed to Investment Managers and Superannuation Funds and work collaboratively with other consulting professionals to deliver tailored solutions and quality outcomes to our clients.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

  • Complete research and analysis of investment managers with a focus on their business structure and the operating model they have implemented
  • Author Operational Due Diligence (ODD) and Operational Risk Assessment (ORA) reports
  • Work with the broader team to deliver strategic projects for our diverse client base
  • Provide reporting to Director / Partner, as well as the client
  • Meet with clients and internal management regularly
  • Assist in preparing billing and budgeting
  • Receive training on investment management, superannuation and other financial markets areas with a strong focus on governance and compliance.

As our client base grows, particularly within the ODD space, we are keen to speak with senior consultant level candidates who are keen to build successful careers. To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Qualifications in commerce, accounting or other financial markets areas
  • Experience in either Investment Management, Superannuation, Custody, Asset Consulting, Managed Fund Research, Regulatory advisory or risk and compliance is advantageous.
  • Proven experience producing quality tailored reporting
  • Problem-solving skills with an ability to understand complex issues and self-awareness to escalate issues in a timely manner
  • A focus on delivering innovative solutions, excellent client service, strong interpersonal and leadership skills 
  • Ability to work within budgets and time constraints with Project management experience advantageous
  • Ability to work autonomously and within small teams
