We are looking for a Manager to join our Commercial Office, based in either Sydney or Melbourne. This role is an opportunity to work at the forefront of commercial strategy-balancing client needs, market intelligence, and commercial risk management-while mentoring and supporting team members to uplift commercial capability across the firm.

What will your typical day look like?  

As a Manager in our Commercial Office, you will partner with senior stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams to design, negotiate, and manage innovative commercial models. You will lead the development of market-competitive rate cards, pricing frameworks, and strategic contract positions, while driving best practice in commercial execution and negotiations that enable Deloitte to build strong client partnerships and deliver long-term value. Your key responsibilities are:

  • Develop, review, and negotiate pricing models, rate cards, and commercial constructs to support MSAs and panel submissions.
  • Lead the preparation of financial models, profitability analyses, and benchmarking to ensure Deloitte’s offerings remain market competitive.
  • Manage the day-to-day execution of significant commercial events such as MSA renewals, extensions, and rate card reviews, partnering with Lead Client Service Partners and senior stakeholders.
  • Act as a primary point of contact with client procurement teams during negotiations, ensuring balanced commercial outcomes that protect both Deloitte and client interests.
  • Deliver clear commercial insights, recommendations, and presentations to Partners and client-facing teams.
  • Mentor and support Analysts and Senior Analysts within the Commercial Office, building capability and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

About the team 

Deloitte’s Commercial Office plays a critical role in shaping the firm’s strategic commercial outcomes. We support the firm’s largest pursuits, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), panel arrangements, and the resolution of complex client engagements. All of which is underpinned by a constant focus on uplifting commercial acumen and best practice across Deloitte Australia.

If you are passionate about pricing, thrive on commercial problem-solving, and want to work on MSAs and panel agreements with some of Australia’s largest organisations, this could be the role for you.

We’re looking for candidates with a combination of the following:  

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in Pricing, Commercial Management and Negotiation.
  • Demonstratable capability in building pricing models, rate cards, and financial frameworks that support commercial decision-making, using advanced Excel and data visualisation tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and present commercial insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders, leveraging market and industry knowledge.
  • A track record of influencing commercial outcomes through data-driven analysis and stakeholder engagement.
  • Exposure to negotiating commercial terms with client procurement and legal teams.
  • High attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset, with a drive to scale and enhance processes in a growing team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience supporting and guiding team members, contributing to the development of commercial capability within a team environment.
  • Intellectual curiosity, commercial creativity, and a passion for innovative pricing and contracting models.
