We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our Audit & Assurance Data & Digital team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale cloud-native analytics platforms that support thousands of users and engagements across Australia and Asia Pacific. You’ll be part of a collaborative and innovative engineering environment where you can grow your technical capability across cloud engineering, analytics, DevOps and modern software development practices.

 

What will your typical day look like?

In this role, you’ll be working across cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines and modern analytics applications that power Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance platforms. You’ll help design, build and support scalable engineering solutions that improve platform performance, reliability and user experience.

Day to day you will be supporting deployment pipelines, troubleshooting production issues, contributing to automation initiatives and working closely with developers, analytics engineers and data specialists to deliver cloud-native solutions. You’ll also contribute to platform modernisation initiatives, observability improvements and engineering best practices across the team.

You’ll spend your time:

  • Building and supporting cloud-native data and analytics platform components
  • Supporting CI/CD deployment activities and release management processes
  • Developing and maintaining Python and .NET applications, APIs and automation tooling
  • Troubleshooting application, deployment and infrastructure issues
  • Supporting analytics and data-driven solutions across cloud platforms
  • Contributing to platform monitoring, reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams across engineering and analytics

 

About the team

The Audit & Assurance Data & Digital team sits at the centre of Deloitte Asia Pacific’s Asset Transformation Strategy. The team combines developers, data technologists and consultants to build scalable analytics and digital platforms used across Audit & Assurance engagements throughout the region.

Our Big Data Platform processes billions of records and supports thousands of users across Australia and Asia Pacific. We operate in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment that gives engineers exposure across cloud infrastructure, analytics engineering, automation and product development. The team works similarly to a startup within Deloitte, providing opportunities to work on meaningful, enterprise-scale technology solutions while continuing to learn and grow.

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:

  • 1–3 years of experience in a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, Application Support Engineer or similar role
  • Experience developing or supporting applications in .NET and/or Python
  • Exposure to APIs, automation tooling, backend services or analytics applications
  • Experience working with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts including compute, storage and environment management
  • Exposure to SQL and modern data platform concepts such as cloud storage, data pipelines or Databricks
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging capability across applications, infrastructure and deployment issues
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced and evolving environment
