The Chief Marketing Officer is a strategic leader responsible for shaping a clear, compelling story about who we are and the value we deliver.  You will ensure this story is expressed consistently across channels and resonates with clients, people and the wider community.

 

You will define and champion a clear, unifying firm narrative that articulates our purpose, values, competitive advantage and future ambition, ensuring it remains aligned to our strategy and consistently expressed across all external touchpoints.  You will partner closely with the Communications team to ensure strong alignment between internal and external messaging.

 

You will strengthen our brand externally, driving a marketing strategy that creates competitive advantage, elevates client experience, and supports commercial outcomes.  As the steward of brand, client experience, strategic events, and thought leadership, you will bring creativity and commercial insight to how we show up in the market.

 

What will your typical day look like?  

 

In this role, you’ll develop and execute a client-centric B2B marketing strategy that generates new business opportunities and strengthens long-term client relationships.  Working closely with business leaders across the firm, you’ll lead integrated, multi-channel campaigns and initiatives aligned with market needs and client priorities.

 

You’ll oversee high-impact direct marketing, strategic events and thought leadership programs that elevate our brand and position us as trusted experts in key sectors.  You will translate strategy into compelling market narratives, ensuring campaigns, thought leadership and client engagement initiatives consistently reinforce our positioning and tell a clear, differentiated story. Using analytics, insights and marketing technology, you’ll continuously refine strategies to maximise targeting, personalisation, and ROI.  As a senior leader, you’ll bring strong partnerships across the business, evolve marketing into a strategic growth enabler, and lead a high-performing, agile team focussed on collaboration, innovation and commercial impact.

You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences: 

  • Proven experience leading B2B marketing in complex organisations, with a clear focus on supporting sales and business growth.
  • Deep understanding of client needs, B2B sales cycles, and how marketing can directly enable revenue generation.
  • Strong collaborator and relationship-builder, able to influence senior stakeholders and partner effectively across functions and business units.
  • Strategic thinker who can challenge the status quo thoughtfully, balancing bold ideas with pragmatic execution.
  • Data-driven decision maker, skilled at using insights to optimise marketing effectiveness and prove impact.
  • Inspires and develops teams with an inclusive, coaching leadership style.
  • Commercially savvy with strong budget management and ROI focus.
  • Demonstrates resilience and adaptability in dynamic business environments.
  • Advocates strongly for diversity, equity, and inclusion in communication strategies.
  • Demonstrated strength in corporate storytelling, with the ability to translate complex strategy into clear, engaging and differentiated narratives.
