What will your typical day look like?

The Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for undertaking the business analysis activities within a stream of work, across programs/projects within the Project Management Office (PMO), for Deloitte’s Information Technology Services (ITS). As a BA you will work to ensure completion of project deliverables to agreed schedule and quality, including:

  • Requirements elicitation and documentation activities to ensure requirements are articulated at required level of detail for project implementation (functional specifications, requirements traceability matrix, use cases)

  • Current & future state process analysis and mapping (ideally utilising BPMN standards)

  • Working to a business analysis work plan for relevant components of work, in alignment with our internal Business Analysis Centre of Excellence (BA CoE) and project scope

  • Preparation and pro-active facilitation of business analysis workshops to meet workshop objectives

  • Preparation and facilitation of user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure an effective delivery to our end users

Working both independently and with the support of other Business Analysts, you will consistently be ensuring necessary deliverables meet stakeholders’ expectations, and be an active member of a cross-functional environment. You will be exposed to areas concerning conflict resolution, gap analysis and prioritisation while also helping drive decisions and manage ambiguity.
Over time you will develop effective working relationships with project team members & senior stakeholders in ITS, other business units and external parties (such as vendors) where required. You will be working to manage stakeholder expectations relating to business requirements and help assist in influencing project outcomes. The role will see you leverage both waterfall and agile project delivery methodologies as required by the project in-hand.

You will demonstrate the ability to work autonomously while helping to foster a team culture that is adaptable to changing needs and supports all our team members.

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you. 

You have proven experience working on enterprise level projects to provide business analysis services (minimum 2 years as a Business Analyst). You also have proven ability to manage competing priorities within tight timeframes and operate in a rapidly changing environment. You will also display a demonstrated flexibility in approach and attitude. You’ll also have the following:

  • Proven experience analysing processes and process mapping complex business processes to industry best practices

  • Strong understanding of technology and business systems at a strategic and operational level including data flow models and system integrations  (on-prem or cloud)

  • Ability to absorb large amounts of new information and quickly understand concepts for the purpose of capturing requirements and project objectives

  • A critical mindset with a questioning attitude that will allow you to think beyond the initial information you are provided with and leave no stone unturned.

Desired:

  • IIBA CCBA certification

  • Experience in a Professional Services firm and an understanding, or willingness to learn, about Professional Services Firm

  • Demonstrated experience working end-to-end throughout the project lifecycle in a BA capacity
