About the team
Within our Industrials practice, the smart manufacturing and operations team helps clients transform their operations and uplift production performance by applying the latest in advanced digital technologies. Underpinned by the global Deloitte Smart Factory network, we take a holistic approach to raising performance and enable clients to drive increased value within and beyond the four walls of their manufacturing operations, while ensuring that people and processes are part of the successful technology transformation strategy.
This is an exciting, growing, and highly visible area within Deloitte that has some of the most innovative, bright, and disruptive minds applying new thinking, new ideas, and new solutions to new problems across manufacturing sectors including Mining, Oil & Gas, Power, Utilities, Renewables, Med Tech, and Food & Beverage.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
- Experience in manufacturing and asset intensive operations, with exposure to smart manufacturing, smart operations, automation, MES, IoT, and associated Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Experience undertaking smart manufacturing and operations capability and benchmarking assessments, identifying opportunities for improvement, and working with organisations to build business cases and roadmaps that align with their future vision.
- Experience in leading and delivering complex smart manufacturing & operations implementation projects, including managing relationships within top listed organisations.
- Experience and direct involvement in complex solution design, vendor selection, and deployment activities - including smart manufacturing & operations technologies – from an end-customer perspective would be advantageous.
- Experience in Mining, Oil & Gas, Power, Utilities, Renewables, Med Tech, or Food & Beverage industries would be advantageous.
- Curiosity to learn about the latest technology advancements and proactively proposing innovative ideas to solve complex problems.
- Demonstrated market making capability, especially around your ability to shape deals that benefit our clients.
- Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling arguments at executive and working level.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with a range of clients by bridging deep technology intricacies with your business acumen.
- Highly developed problem solving and project delivery skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritise building a team, winning work, and delivering to clients.
- Enthusiasm for emissions reduction, nation building and industrial redesign.
