We are seeking a talented Manager to join our Technology & Applications Support team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing team responsible for maintaining and optimising critical business applications, ensuring exceptional service delivery and operational efficiency across the organisation. You’ll have the chance to drive process improvement initiatives, embed best practices, and contribute to the ongoing success of Deloitte’s technology operations.

 

What will your typical day look like?

In this role, you’ll oversee daily support operations, managing incident resolution, service requests, and application issues. You will lead, mentor, and develop a team of application specialists, while balancing service quality with operational efficiency. Using your expertise, you’ll optimise processes, implement ITSM best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.

Day to day, you’ll liaise with business units, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of support activities with business needs. You’ll monitor team performance, manage workloads and on-call rosters, and prepare reports on service metrics and application performance. Your leadership and proactive approach will be key to maintaining high standards, mitigating operational risks, and embedding a culture of technical excellence.

The team works collaboratively across multiple business units, delivering operational excellence while driving continuous improvement. You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:

  • Proven experience leading and developing application support or IT operations teams

  • Strong expertise in incident and problem management in complex application environments

  • Sound knowledge of ITIL frameworks and practical application of ITSM methodologies

  • Hands-on experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow for ticket management, workflow automation, and reporting

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience collaborating with multiple business units and vendors

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure

  • Demonstrated capability in process optimisation, service improvement, and change management initiatives

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills

  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
