We are seeking an Engineering Director to support growth in our Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Digital Architecture capability area. This role sits at the intersection of technology strategy, large-scale delivery, client advisory, and people leadership.

 

You will be responsible for shaping enterprise digital experience platforms, leading complex Adobe Experience Cloud engagements, and building high-performing engineering and architecture teams that deliver measurable business outcomes.

 

What will your typical day look like?

  • Leverage deep expertise across Adobe Experience Cloud to solve complex business challenges and deliver scalable, future-ready digital solutions.
  • Lead the design and delivery of enterprise Digital Experience Platforms, aligned to client business strategy and customer experience goals.
  • Act as a senior Adobe SME, confidently advising executive stakeholders on platform strategy, trade-offs, and investment decisions.
  • Define and govern enterprise digital and solution architectures, ensuring alignment across content, experience, integration, and data layers.
  • Lead and inspire multi-disciplinary delivery teams across multiple programs and clients, driving a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Proactively identify and manage technical, architectural, and delivery risks, including scope and dependency impacts.
  • Lead large-scale business development initiatives, including executive-level pitches, proposals, solution design, and estimations.
  • Oversee resource strategy and team composition, working with resource managers to align skills to delivery needs.
  • Monitor engineering maturity and performance, implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead the creation of digital assets, accelerators, and reference solutions, including business cases and commercial models.
  • Provide strategic leadership to capability initiatives, supporting growth plays and long-term platform strategy.

You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:

 

  • 15+ years of experience in Software Engineering and Architecture, with leadership roles in large-scale enterprise digital transformations.
  • Proven experience defining and leading enterprise-scale digital architectures for customer-facing platforms.
  • Deep hands-on and architectural expertise across Adobe Experience Cloud, including: Adobe Experience Manager (AEM Sites, Assets, Cloud Service), Adobe Commerce, Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), Workfront
  • Strong experience with AEM Cloud Services, including Edge Delivery Services and modern headless/composable architectures.
  • Experience implementing Enterprise DAM solutions using AEM Assets, with a strong understanding of Content Supply Chain use cases.
  • Sound understanding of AEM upgrades and migrations, including planning and execution for AEM 6.5 to Cloud Service.
  • Strong knowledge of modern digital engineering practices, including:
    • API-first and microservices architectures. Expertise with Adobe AppBuilder and API Mesh is highly desirable.
    • CI/CD, source control, and automation
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts and platforms. Experience with AWS and/or Azure is highly desirable, particularly in the context of hosting, integrating, or operating digital experience platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead and scale high-performing delivery teams, including offshore and distributed teams.
