Our Vacationer Program is designed to help you build skills, confidence and clarity about the kind of career you want to grow into. Our Vacationer Program is a paid summer internship (4 weeks) offering real client exposure, project work, and structured onboarding. You’ll have a dedicated buddy, access to networking and social events, and the opportunity to be considered for an early Graduate offer. 

 

Interested in further study?  If you return as a graduate, you will have the opportunity to pursue qualifications such as the Diploma of Tax, Master of Tax or Chartered Accountants.

About the team

Our supportive and diverse team covers several interesting areas of work:   

  1. Business Tax – We focus on delivering a comprehensive, practical approach to tax compliance and advisory that helps global businesses meet their worldwide tax and statutory responsibilities, while identifying risks and opportunities through our specialised tax services. These services include corporate tax, financial services tax, international tax, M&A tax and transfer pricing. 
    Degrees: Business, Commerce, Law, Finance or Accounting.

  2. Global Employer Services - We help global employers navigate the tax, technology, immigration and mobility aspects through a global network of experts. We help them transform global programs in a cost-efficient manner and use data analytics, digital insights and other technologies to offer our clients tailored solutions.  
    Degrees: Accounting, Business, Commerce, HR, Economics, Finance, Law (Migration). 

  1. Indirect Tax - We're specialists in a broad range of increasingly important indirect taxes including GST, State Taxes, Global Trade and Advisory, Fuel Tax and Luxury Car Tax. We’re at the forefront of indirect tax policy and framing national conversations, as well as regularly and successfully leading litigation. 
    Degrees: Accounting, Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Law.

  2. Private Advisory - We support private businesses, family groups and entrepreneurs by combining business insights with tax and accounting expertise. Team members help with planning, budgeting, structuring and broader advisory support. It suits those who enjoy hands-on work with real businesses and a blend of financial and strategic thinking. Degrees: Accounting (CA eligible).

  3. Research & Development (GI3) - We're a diverse team of engineers, accountants, scientists, lawyers and IP strategists. It’s our job to help clients access innovation incentives and grants, particularly in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) sector. This includes identifying and communicating industry-scale R&D projects on behalf of our clients to the two entities that administer R&D tax incentives — the ATO and Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DISR).
    Degrees: We’re interested in hearing from individuals with a range of backgrounds! This may include Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and more! 

 

What will your typical day look like? 

Step into a dynamic environment where you’ll learn from experts, tackle real tax challenges, and grow your skills in a supportive team. Depending on your team, you could: 

  • Advise global businesses on tax compliance, corporate strategy, transfer pricing, and international or M&A tax.

  • Support multinational employers with tax, technology, immigration and mobility solutions, leveraging analytics and digital tools. 

  • Work with indirect taxes such as GST, state taxes and global trade, helping shape policy and contribute to litigation. 

  • Partner with private businesses, family groups or high-net-worth individuals on planning, structuring, compliance and advisory work. 
  • Collaborate with specialists to secure R&D incentives for innovative clients, or provide legal advice across tax, transactions, employment and intellectual property matters. 

 

You won’t be expected to know everything from day one. You’ll be supported through structured learning, feedback and collaboration.

We’re seeking penultimate year students to join our vacationer program. As a bright, ambitious and hard-working student, you’ll also:
