Our Risk & Regulatory Data team helps clients navigate some of the most complex regulatory and data challenges in business, from compliance frameworks to operational analytics. Through our Vacationer Program, you'll spend your summer embedded in that work, building real analytical and consulting skills while working alongside data specialists on live client projects. 

 

 

What will your typical day look like?

Day to day, you'll be working with a team of data and risk specialists to help clients make sense of complex regulatory environments. You'll get hands-on with real data, sourcing, preparing and analysing it to uncover insights that drive client decisions. You'll use tools like MS Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Python and R, and you'll learn how to communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

 

As a Vacationer in our Risk & Regulatory Data team, you'll:

  • Source, prepare and analyse client data to build analytical models that deliver actionable insights across areas like regulatory compliance, data risk and ESG 

  • Work alongside specialists to assess data landscapes, identify improvements to data quality frameworks, and develop data management strategies and roadmaps 

  • Present findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders, translating complex technical outputs into clear, visual narratives 

 

As well as learning in the flow of work, you'll be part of our structured Vacationer Program. You'll have a dedicated buddy, access to networking and social events, and the opportunity to be considered for an early graduate offer. 

 

 

About the team 

The Risk & Regulatory Data team sits within Deloitte's Strategy, Risk & Transactions business and advises clients on complex risk, compliance and data challenges. The team combines advanced analytics skills with deep regulatory knowledge to help clients build data strategies, governance frameworks and operational analytics solutions. Current focus areas include regulatory compliance, operational risk reduction, data lifecycle management and controls transformation across a wide range of industries. It's a team that values curiosity and technical depth in equal measure, and you'll be learning from practitioners who work at the intersection of data, risk and regulation every day.

We're seeking penultimate-year students to join our Vacationer Program.  

 

You may have all or some of the following:

  • Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Interest in data analytics, regulatory risk and turning complex data into clear, actionable insights 
  • Comfort asking questions and learning through feedback
  • Alignment with Deloitte's values and inclusive culture
  • You'll be studying towards a relevant degree, such as Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Business Information Systems, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or similar
