Are you ready to shape the future of industries, tackle complex challenges, and drive impactful change? At Deloitte, we’re looking for passionate problem solvers to join our Infrastructure & Industrials (I&I) team and transform the way organisations operate.
Our Vacationer Program is a paid summer internship (12 weeks) offering real client exposure, project work, and structured onboarding. You’ll have a dedicated buddy, access to networking and social events, and the opportunity to be considered for an early Graduate offer.

About the team
Deloitte’s Asset Management & Performance team has a mission to strategically transform and optimise the performance of Australia’s asset-intensive industries to build sustainable environmental and financial competitive advantage. We do this by focusing on delivering optimal business performance design, process, and governance; data-enabled and collaborative delivery of complex asset programs; high-performance business outcomes; asset-centred operations to deliver more value from assets; and equally as important – a focus on people, culture and safety to bring it all together.
Our team provides our clients with highly value-adding services including:
- Large-scale operations transformation
- Integrated operations design and implementation
- Intelligent capital programs
- Specialist asset management including services across the full asset lifecycle
- Supporting clients to increase asset and equipment availability and reliability, reduce costs and manage critical asset risk.
What will your typical day look like?
In this role, you will work with some of our most experienced leaders and teams in delivering strategy and operations transformation consulting to some of Australia’s most important industries including energy, mining, utilities, transport, and infrastructure. You will:
- Become part of a dynamic team and apply knowledge to practical scenarios to add value to clients.
- Contribute to solving complex problems and value creation for Australia’s leading asset-intensive organisations.
- Build a career through the development of highly valuable skills working with experienced consultants and industry experts in a high-performing team.

- Is unafraid of difficult problems and ambiguity
- Preferred degrees include Engineering (preferred are mechanical, electrical, mechatronic), Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce or Data Science. Other degree students are also welcome to apply and will be considered equally
- Australian permanent residency or Australian/New Zealand Citizenship
