Our Asset Management & Performance team helps major organisations improve how critical assets are planned, operated and maintained, with real consequences for cost, reliability and performance. Through our Vacationer Program, you'll spend your summer working on strategy and operations transformation projects in asset-intensive industries, building practical consulting skills alongside experienced leaders and specialists.

 

What will your typical day look like?

Over the course of your internship, you'll work alongside consultants and industry experts on projects that help clients improve business performance, optimise operations and get more value from critical assets. You'll contribute to real work across strategy, asset management and transformation, while learning how complex industrial organisations make decisions and deliver change.

 

  • Support analysis and problem-solving on operations and transformation projects for clients in industries like energy, mining, utilities, transport and infrastructure

  • Contribute to work focused on asset performance, equipment reliability, cost reduction and critical asset risk management

  • Assist with research, insights and project deliverables that support operations design, capital programs and asset lifecycle improvement

 

As well as learning in the flow of work, you'll be part of our structured Vacationer Program. You'll have a dedicated buddy, access to networking and social events, and the opportunity to be considered for an early graduate offer.

 

About the team

Deloitte's Asset Management & Performance team works with organisations across Australia's asset-intensive industries to improve how they design, run and optimise their operations. The team focuses on strategy and operations transformation, integrated operations design, intelligent capital programs and specialist asset management across the full asset lifecycle. Their work helps clients increase equipment availability and reliability, reduce costs and manage critical asset risk. Just as importantly, the team also brings a strong focus on people, culture and safety to the way change is delivered.

We're seeking penultimate-year students to join our Vacationer Program.

 

You may have all or some of the following:

  • Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

  • Interest in strategy and operations transformation for asset-intensive industries

  • Comfort asking questions and learning through feedback

  • Alignment with Deloitte's values and inclusive culture

  • You'll be studying a relevant degree, such as Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce or Data Science
