Based in Perth, we are looking for a Senior Manager who has a passion for helping clients manage their risk and regulatory challenges through advanced analytics, AI and data governance / management approaches and technologies. You will be part of a team that brings skills in data sourcing, analytics methods and tools to the broader risk and regulatory space. 

 

What will your typical day look like? 

•    Manage a portfolio of projects across a range of industries focusing on providing our clients with evidence-based actionable insights to improve their overall risk and regulatory compliance

•    Develop and implement data-driven strategies to help our clients monitor and mitigate risks, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and effectively respond to business and stakeholder commitments 

•    Provide expert guidance on the interpretation of data analytics results, communicating to both internal and client stakeholders to support the decision-making processes at the senior management level

•    Lead teams and work with stakeholders to deliver practical and business-aligned advice, strategies, policy frameworks and solutions to help our clients understand and manage various elements of their data risk profile required for successful business processes, regulatory obligations and customer expectations  

•    Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation through formal training programmes, on-the-job training, and coaching 

•    Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data analytics, regulatory compliance, risk management and AI

•    Support business development activities including building solid business relationships internally and externally, developing marketing material, preparing proposals and participating in presentations

•    Support the continuous enhancement of Deloitte’s Risk and Regulatory Analytics solutions

•    Identify business opportunities for Deloitte’s Risk and Regulatory team and Deloitte more broadly

Our experts are deeply embedded in our clients’ transformation and remediation agendas, constantly leveraging our industry and technology expertise to build trust in data. We collaborate with some of Australia’s largest and most respected organisations, tackling real-world problems at every stage of the data transformation journey—from designing necessary changes, to delivering and managing those changes, and providing assurance around change initiatives. 

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you. 

You may have all or some of the following skills / experience: 

•    8-12 years’ experience working with the analysis of data from complex data sets and systems

•    Strong project management skills with demonstrated capability of managing multiple projects / work streams simultaneously

•    A solid grounding in designing analytical solutions in response to risk or regulatory issues 

•    Understanding of various regulatory frameworks and risk management principles 

•    Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analytics tools and software (e.g. SQL, Python, PowerBI, R, Tableau) - desirable 

•    Experience with data risk profile elements and data management policies standards and regulatory expectations (desirable)

•    Experience with the design and implementation of data governance and/or data management solutions plus proven ‘go to market’ capabilities in these areas (desirable) 

•    An understanding of operational risk management frameworks and processes (e.g. risk appetite, risk identification, risk assessment etc.) - preferable

•    Ability to help clients identify strategic opportunities optimise their risk and regulatory processes 

•    Experience of explaining and presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders and applying a commercial and risk point of view 

•    Strong presentation skills both face-to-face and in the design of deliverables 

•    Ability to develop and sell offerings and adjacent offerings 

•    A self-starter that is adept at resolving issues 

•    Demonstrated effective leadership, fostering both client and employee relationships 

•    Ability to articulate the role that data and technology play in risk and/or regulatory programs (desirable)

•    Experience leading and developing teams on risk and data-centric programs 

•    Experience leading or participating in proposal development and other business development activities 

•    Experience in a similar consulting role with a national or global consulting firm (preferable but not essential)
