We are seeking an exceptional Senior Manager to join the AI and Data team! This an opportunity to make a meaningful client impact, contribute to major opportunities, and set Deloitte apart in the market. We are open to internal candidates from any location, whether as a transfer or secondment.  

  

 

As a Senior Manager in our Perth-based AI & Data team, you’ll play a key leadership role—guiding projects, mentoring teams, and delivering next-generation data solutions that solve complex challenges. What will your typical day look like? You will take a leadership role in delivering high-impact AI & Data solutions while developing teams and managing client relationships. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Driving Data & AI Strategy – Collaborate with clients to design and implement AI & data strategies that deliver measurable business impact.
  • Leading High-Impact Projects – Manage large-scale AI, analytics, and data transformation initiatives, ensuring excellence in delivery.
  • Managing Client Relationships – Act as a strategic advisor, engaging with senior stakeholders to understand business challenges and drive data-driven solutions.
  • Owning Project Success – Oversee project execution, meeting commercial objectives, managing risks, and ensuring quality delivery.
  • Developing High-Performing Teams – Mentor and coach a team of data engineers, scientists, and consultants, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Enhancing Deloitte’s AI & Data Capabilities – Stay ahead of industry trends and contribute to thought leadership in AI, cloud, and advanced analytics.
  • Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing – Work closely with Deloitte’s global network and strategic partners (AWS, Microsoft, Google, Snowflake, Databricks) to bring world-class AI & Data solutions to clients.

Our AI & Data team is a diverse group of over 500 specialists across Australia, partnering with clients in both public and private sectors to deliver cutting-edge solutions. We collaborate with leading technology providers such as AWS, Microsoft, Google, Snowflake, and Databricks, ensuring we stay at the forefront of emerging AI and data capabilities.

 

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are a data-driven leader with:

  • 8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or data engineering, including leadership and project delivery experience.
  • Proven ability to manage complex data & AI projects, ensuring successful business outcomes.
  • Demonstrating experience in Full stack development with AI/ML solutions.
  • Experience in cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform), SQLPython, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud-native AI/ML tools.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills—able to translate technical insights into business strategy for senior leaders.
  • Agile project management experience, ensuring effective project execution.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Client & Stakeholder Management – Own relationships, manage client risk, and drive trusted advisory engagements.
  • Team Leadership & Development – Foster team culture, support professional growth, and ensure high engagement.
  • Innovation & Transformation – Lead AI & data-driven innovation while contributing to Deloitte’s knowledge base.
  • Business Development – Support go-to-market efforts, contribute to thought leadership, and expand client opportunities.
  • Operational Excellence – Meet Quality & Risk Management standards and ensure project profitability.
