About the team

We know that Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) are a huge deal for businesses, so whether the focus is on growth through acquisitions or increasing shareholder value through strategic divestments, we support clients from start to finish.

 

Our M&A Consulting Services Team focuses on supporting businesses throughout the deal cycle. We provide support for our clients develop their M&A strategy and during sell-side separations and buy-side integrations, with a focus on increasing growth and value, and helping our clients navigate complex deal processes.

 

What will your typical day look like?
On a typical day, you’ll collaborate closely with your team, while also working directly with clients across a variety of industries. In your role supporting M&A integrations and separations, you will play a key role in helping clients maximise value realisation from every deal. While based in Perth, our national resourcing model provides opportunities to work with colleagues across the country and contribute to projects for national clients.

 

While your primary focus will be on separation and integration strategy, planning and delivery, our practice supports client’s pre-deal with activities such as M&A strategy, target scans, operational and commerical due diligence, synergy assessments and transitional service agreements.

 

As a Senior Analyst in the team, you will typically be involved in:

  • Problem-solving and strategic decision-making across complex transactions;
  • Development of integration and separation strategies to maximise value creation;
  • Functional blueprinting to support day 1 and target state design;
  • Creation and delivery of integration and separation plans to drive successful completion and ensure Day 1 (Completion) readiness;
  • Project management office (PMO) activities, including governance, reporting, and stakeholder coordination;
  • Practice and business development activities, such as the development of thought leadership and sales materials.

You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree (commerce or business-related preferred)
  • 2-4 years’ experience (prior advisory / consulting experience preferred, but not required)
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving and structured thinking
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and adapt to ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with a high degree of autonomy
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse clients
  • Financial and numeracy skills
  • Project management or PMO experience is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of M&A environment / process (desired but not essential)
