Date:  30 Jun 2026
Location:

Department:  Audit and Assurance
Description:

Job Requisition ID: 41410

  • Help shape internal audit and controls assurance work for major Australian organisations navigating risk, transformation and resilience.

  • Build relationships with in-person connection across our teams and clients, with flexibility to balance work and life

  • Mentoring, coaching and leadership programs to help you make an impact that matters

Join Deloitte's Controls Assurance team as a Senior Analyst and help clients strengthen the controls, governance and assurance frameworks their businesses rely on.

What will your typical day look like?

In this role, you'll deliver internal audit engagements and controls assurance projects across a range of sectors. That could mean assessing control design and effectiveness, identifying risk themes, and helping clients put practical actions in place before issues grow into something bigger.

Your work will help clients build stronger, more resilient businesses. By bringing a clear view of where controls are working well and where gaps or emerging risks sit, you'll support better decision-making for the stakeholders who rely on those frameworks every day.

Working closely with colleagues across our national team, you'll have real client-facing responsibility and exposure to a variety of industries and challenges. The role offers a strong mix of advisory thinking, technical depth and opportunities to support and guide junior team members.

About the team

Deloitte's Controls Assurance team works with some of Australia's most significant businesses and organisations to assess, strengthen and provide assurance over their control environments. The team delivers differentiated internal audit and controls advisory services, using digital and data-enabled approaches to help clients better understand control issues, respond to risk and build resilience in a changing environment.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make complex ideas clear and practical

  • Experience planning and delivering process risk and control projects, including analysing findings and shaping mitigation actions

  • A solid understanding of business processes and controls, with the ability to take an insight-driven approach to controls assessment

  • Exposure to controls advisory and/or third-party controls assurance engagements

  • Confidence working with stakeholders to gather information, build trust and keep work moving

  • The ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team and adapt to different methodologies and ways of working

  • A proactive mindset, with an interest in emerging technologies and risks and a willingness to support junior team members

  • Certifications such as CIA or CA, plus experience in data analytics or information systems, would be a bonus
