What will your typical day look like?

 

In this role, you will engage directly with high profile public and private sector clients on their most important and challenging business issues - addressing and solving their priority asset and operational related problems. You will also:

  • Work with a high performing team with a strong commitment to excellence in pursuit of helping our clients drive profitability and performance business issues by addressing and solving their priority operational problems
  • Work on some of the most challenging and inspiring private and public sector programs across Defence, Energy and Resources clients
  • Draw on Deloitte’s unique capabilities in Structured Problem Solving, Design thinking, Digital, Data Analytics, Deloitte Access Economics and experience from our global consulting network
  • Undertake extensive asset optimisation, capital projects and broader operations transformation focused training and development (both structured and on the job) with the opportunity to experience borderless careers through international assignments and secondments
  • Provide team leadership mentoring and coaching of junior staff
  • Get creative with contributions to the Deloitte practice to help us build a better, stronger internal culture and give back to our communities

About the team

In the asset team, we work with our clients across capital project development, delivery and commissioning of assets into operations, asset management and maintenance, redefinition of their supply chains and the general management of their supporting enterprise.

We bring our clients on the journey, helping them accelerate and unlock strategic and commercial value as their partners in innovation-led transformation. We can see where they need to go, and work with them to design and implement the path forward, powered by the best emerging and proven technology and analytical insights, to help them get there.

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

In response to strong client demand for our services, we are seeking a manager to join our Operations and Transformation Consulting team. We encourage anyone who possesses the following experience and skills, regardless of background, to apply:

  • Must have at least 2 years experience in management consulting (ideally in a Big 4 environment or with another leading consulting firm)
  • 5+ years experience in the use of structured problem-solving approaches / frameworks
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams with a passion to develop others as well as yourself
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong relationships with a range of clients and senior stakeholders
  • Strong facilitation skills for large groups of people that are adaptable for different situations and communications styles
  • Experience in conducting analysis and synthesising into digestible and insightful outputs (e.g. reports, presentations)
  • Experience in creating business development materials
  • Curiosity and drive to learn and seek out innovative solutions
