About Us

 

We are a management consulting team specialising in Chief Operating Officer (COO) advisory work with a predominant focus on the Energy and Resources Sector. We work closely with organisations to achieve their commercial, operational and sustainability goals and tackle some of the most important and complex challenges they are facing in areas such as the energy transition, operational decarbonisation and workforce productivity.

 

The strategy and transformation services we provide typically include projects on operating model, performance improvement, cost reduction programs such as labour productivity or process re-design, operational strategy design and other strategy implementation.

 

About the Role

 

As a Senior Consultant, you will work closely with the Deloitte project team and clients to deliver the strategy and transformation advice. You will leverage your analytical (inc. Strong quantitative capability), critical thinking, leadership and interpersonal skills to structure and solve complex business challenges, deliver data-driven insights, and help clients implement pragmatic solutions that drive measurable impact.

 

What will your typical day look like? 

 

Every day is different, but some typical responsibilities include:

 

  • Developing a structured framework, storyboard and key hypotheses to guide analysis and recommendation development
  • Synthesising desktop research to support actionable insights and recommendations
  • Supporting workstreams with complex quantitative data analysis of large financial and operational models
  • Engaging closely with project team leadership and SMEs to refine analysis and deliverables
  • Preparing for and facilitating client engagement (inc. interviews and workshops) at multiple levels – from frontline operations to executive leadership
  • Owning deliverables and developing well-structured and visually engaging Microsoft PowerPoint presentation materials that support decision making
  • Supporting the career development of junior team members

 

As a Senior Consultant, you will also begin to further contribute to business development (through leading subsections of proposals) and thought leadership.

As a Senior Consultant you will be considered a safe pair of hands who can deliver solutions to complex problems independently and on-time. We encourage anyone who possesses the following experience and skills, regardless of academic background, to apply;

 

  • Work experience: 3-6 years of experience in management consulting or similar problem-solving experience within an organisation
  • Critical thinking: Experience and application of structured problem-solving approaches / frameworks to solve problems
  • Quantitative Analysis: Ability to perform complex data analysis in financial and operational domains to support the development of actionable business insights (inc. sophisticated Microsoft Excel/PowerBi proficiency in complex formulas, pivot tables, macros and power query)
  • Qualitative Analysis: Ability to perform fast and effective desktop research to synthesise into actionable business insights
  • Communication: Highly effective and structured communication skills, both written in Microsoft PowerPoint and verbal, to present insights effectively
  • Leadership: Ability to work well, adapt and lead within a team environment – building strong relationships with the project and client team
  • Interpersonal skills: Curiosity to learn and improve, as well as proactivity to bring forward independent ideas
