What will your typical day look like?
As a Manager in our Perth Indirect Tax team, you’ll help leading organisations across Western Australia and nationally navigate the complexities of GST, fuel tax credits, and other indirect taxes. Working closely with our Directors and Partners, you’ll manage engagements, provide practical and commercially focused advice, and develop a team of high-performing professionals.
You’ll work with a broad portfolio of clients, including major players in property and construction, energy and resources, insurance and financial services, insolvency and the public sector, delivering value through strategic advisory, compliance optimisation, and tax governance reviews.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the delivery of GST and other indirect tax advisory, compliance, and governance projects for a diverse client base.
- Providing pragmatic advice on complex transactions, restructures, and tax risk management.
- Leading and coaching junior team members to deliver quality outcomes and foster professional growth.
- Collaborating with other Deloitte specialists (including Tax Technology, Corporate Tax, Private Tax, Legal, and Consulting) to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Contributing to business development and thought leadership initiatives to drive the growth of Deloitte’s Indirect Tax practice in Western Australia.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
You’re an experienced indirect tax professional who enjoys solving complex problems and bringing clarity to ambiguity. You combine strong technical skills with practical judgment and the confidence to advise senior stakeholders.
You’ll also bring:
- Prior experience advising on GST or indirect tax matters within a Big 4, mid-tier, or law firm environment.
- A strong technical foundation in indirect tax and the ability to translate legislation into clear, actionable advice.
- A degree in Law, Commerce, or Accounting, with legal qualifications (LLB/LLM) or prior law firm experience highly regarded.
- Experience managing multiple engagements and client relationships, with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
- Proven leadership and people development skills, with a commitment to coaching and mentoring others.
- CA/CPA or equivalent professional qualification (or progress toward completion). Alternatively, a law degree or admission as a legal practitioner (or progress toward either) will be considered favourably.
