About the team  

 

The Deloitte Sustainability, Climate & Industrials (SC&I) Team works with the Senior Executives, CEOs and Boards of blue-chip industrials leading operational transformation and improvement programs and strategic advisory projects. Our practitioners are problem solvers, with deep transformation, operations and industry insight. They apply their experience to diagnose and solve complex problems and design innovative, pragmatic solutions to achieve transformational success and outcomes.

About the role    

 

  • Engage directly with senior clients across Mining & Metals and Power, Utilities and Renewables and adjacent industries on their most important and challenging business issues and addressing and solving their priority operational problems
  • Work with a high performing team with a strong commitment to excellence in pursuit of helping our clients drive quality and performance through their business operations
  • Demonstrate an exceptional understanding of complex operations management and the ability to manage several client projects concurrently
  • This role requires proven people management capabilities, exceptional team leadership skills and the ability and desire to develop others in their careers
  • Draw on Deloitte’s unique capabilities in design thinking, digital, data and analytics, Deloitte Access Economics and experience from our global consulting network.

About your Experience  

 

In response to strong client demand for our services we are currently seeking to recruit an outstanding Director with extensive experience in the heavy assets and adjacent industries.

 

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • prior management consulting experience or a senior internal advisory role with proven experience as a trusted business advisor to senior client leaders
  • a strong background in working within the resources sector
  • demonstrated experience in productivity and business performance improvement
  • proven experience leading transformation consulting projects, managing senior relationships within top listed organisations, and managing large, diverse teams, virtually and face-to-face
  • demonstrated ability to solve complex business problems using a hypothesis-based approach alongside strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • demonstrated experience in leading client pursuits and ability to adapt to market trends
  • the ability to quickly build rapport and grow client relationships to establish a strong network in market
  • Experience in a leadership role emphasising growing and developing junior team members and driving a culture of continuous learning
