We are looking for a capable and driven Consultant to join our Workforce Payroll Solutions (WPS) team. This role is well-suited to someone with experience working within or alongside workforce-related functions—such as Workforce Management, Human Capital Management (HCM), or Payroll—who is now looking to apply that knowledge in a consulting environment.
As a Consultant, you will support the delivery of a wide range of client projects, providing day-to-day project coordination and contributing to the development and execution of practical solutions. The role requires a high level of initiative, adaptability, and a strong desire to develop a well-rounded understanding of consulting or expand on your current consulting experience.
You’ll work as part of a collaborative team, helping to deliver meaningful improvements to client operations by leveraging your existing knowledge and embracing opportunities to learn new skills across project management, stakeholder engagement, process improvement, and technology enablement.
About The Team
- The Workforce and Payroll Solutions team at Deloitte are an inclusive and energetic group of HC technology professionals with a laser-like focus on delivering high quality, customer centric projects for our clients.
- We’re collaborative, we knowledge share and support each other. Our culture is what sets us apart!
- This team works in harmony and prioritises the team culture, learning, and amplifying everyone’s skills to deliver truly great outcomes.
About the role
As a WPS Consultant Your responsibilities may span activities such as project coordination, documentation, process mapping, stakeholder engagement support, or contributing to system and process improvement efforts. While prior consulting experience is highly regarded, a proactive approach, strong organisational skills, and a willingness to adapt and learn are key to success in this role.
A curious and inquisitive mindset, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality work are essential in this role. You will support the team by exploring client challenges, asking thoughtful questions, and helping to ensure solutions are practical and aligned with client needs. Your contributions will demonstrate an awareness of organisational context, including maturity, capacity, and priorities, helping to ensure recommendations are realistic and actionable.
Enough about us, let's talk about you
You will be someone with a genuine interest in both the human and technical side of HR, payroll and workforce management technology.
Requirements:
- Exposure to or experience in Workforce Management, HCM, or Payroll operations (2years) preferred.
- Experience working in operational or project roles within these functions.
- Interest in expanding into a more varied role across multiple clients and projects.
- Strong time management, coordination, and communication skills
- A proactive and inquisitive mindset, with the ability to take ownership of tasks.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, develop new skills, and gain exposure to different industries and clients. You’ll be supported with ongoing learning and development while contributing to meaningful outcomes for organisations across the workforce landscape.
