We’re seeking an exceptional Strategic Communications Manager to join our Communications, Media and Corporate Affairs (CMC) team. This role will work closely with senior leaders to drive the planning, creation and delivery of executive and business communications across our internal and external channels. 

 

What will your typical day look like?  

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Managing Partner (Business Unit Leader) and executive teams to develop and manage narratives, voice, and messaging across all channels in a way that aligns with the firm’s strategy and business goals. You’ll play a key role in shaping and cascading messaging, ensuring consistency and alignment across the business. 

 

Day to day, you’ll apply your strengths in creative writing, stakeholder management, communications strategy and execution, change communications, copywriting, storytelling, content creation, and planning to bring our business strategies to life and engage our people. You’ll also: 

  • Manage communications plans and calendars to ensure alignment and consistency. 

  • Curate and draft engaging content for internal and external audiences, including executive media and social media profiling. 

  • Chair and participate in communications working groups to streamline efforts across teams. 

  • Monitor and report on communications metrics, continuously refining strategies for greater impact. 

  • Provide strategic advice and support for executive voices across a variety of channels. 

 

This is a dynamic role where you’ll collaborate with leaders and teams to design and deliver strategic communications and engagement initiatives, including change communications to support major transformation programs. About the Team 
The Communications, Media and Corporate Affairs (CMC) team uses storytelling and creative communications to elevate the Deloitte brand, with holistic and consistent communications across all internal and external channels.

 A natural storyteller and strategic thinker, you excel in creating compelling content and navigating complex communication landscapes. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are adept at managing stakeholders with diplomacy and sound judgement.

You are also someone with: 

  • 6+ years’ communications experience, preferably in a B2B context.  

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience.  

  • Proven project management skills and a collaborative work style.  

  • A creative approach to communication, with strong knowledge of diverse channels and their optimal use.  

  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.  

  • The ability to adapt and deliver in a fast-paced professional services environment.
