The Senior Security Analyst is an aspiring leader responsible for designing and architecting as well as implementing the security solution(s) on the Cloud platforms. Acting as a key member of the Cloud Security team, the Security Analyst will collaborate with IT, development, and business teams to embed security best practices and implement scalable, resilient, and compliant security solutions.
This role is based in Melbourne, with a requirement to work on-site at the client’s office two days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in security roles, with at least 4+ years in both Core Cloud Security Engineering and Architecture. We are looking for candidate(s) with a blend of both Engineering and Architecture background.
Academic Background: Bachelor’s (or master’s degree) in Computer science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or related fields
Architecture Experience:

Implementation and assessment of cloud security frameworks and strategies across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.

Drive secure cloud adoption by guiding the team in building, monitoring, and optimising Public Cloud infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS) environments.

Provide expertise in core cloud security principles while ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, PKI etc.)

Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), encryption, key management, and secure configurations as part of compliance and governance strategies.

Demonstrate ability to design and secure solutions in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Expertise with Cloud native technologies and services (eg: IAM, EC2, VPC, ELB, ALB, Lambda, Kubernetes)
Engineering Experience:
-
Knowledge and experience of Version control system (Git)
-
Experience of implementing code via the CI/CD (Azure DevOps, Github, GitLab, Harness) platforms.

Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation) and policy-as-code (e.g.: OPA, Azure policy etc)

Practical experience with Docker containerization and clustering (Kubernetes/ECS/EKS/AKS)

Strong experience on two of the listed Software programming languages such as Python (strongly preferred), Go, YAML, JSON etc.

Strong knowledge and expertise on scripting for automation (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)

Knowledge and experience on Rego language and OPA is highly desirable

Sound knowledge on Linux operating systems

Excellent verbal and communication skills

Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
