We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our National Operate team. This role will be Melbourne based preferably; however, we are also open to considering Sydney based candidates.
What will your typical day look like?
You will work with our National Operate leadership, as well as Business Units and our Growth organisation, to help deliver the Operate strategy across Australia. You will partner with client-facing teams to shape practical solutions for client needs, support thought leadership and point of view development and contribute to sales and origination activities.
The Operate Senior Manager is an important role in delivering our Operate strategy and transformation objectives. You will help build capability across the Australian region and support origination, sales, solution shaping and commercials for Deloitte’s managed service offerings.
The successful candidate will drive and support initiatives under the Operate strategy that focus on the following areas:
- Strategic thought leadership
- Sales pursuit enablement & process transformation
- Support bid and contract management
- Connecting, integration & collaboration across the Deloitte network to help origination and sales campaigns
- Drive the uplift of capability amongst the team
This role is a rare opportunity to help deliver the Operate strategy across Australia, working closely with Operate leaders as the firm executes its transformation agenda. The Operate portfolio is varied, and you will work with a diverse range of clients. You will also collaborate with other firm functions including the various business units, Operate Lead partners, Business Development and Talent teams.
About the team
The National Operate Team is responsible for the execution and management of the Operations strategy and provides thought leadership, sales & operational enablement and program oversight into delivery of the overall Operate strategy.

The successful candidate will ideally have strong experience in managed services (strategy, sales pursuits and/or delivery enablement) and demonstrate the ability to:
- Contribute to thought leadership for the Australian Operate strategy, including helping set up ways of working, key measures (KPIs) and practical guidance that supports consistent delivery.
- Work with local, regional and global teams to support delivery network and industry initiatives that create value for clients.
- Support pursuit teams with bid activity, pipeline development and sales operations (including inputs to commercials).
- Build strong relationships across the Operate community to support a positive experience across the sales and delivery lifecycle.
- Relevant qualifications (CPA, CA, MBA or similar in Finance and Accounting) are well regarded.
