About our Sustainability & Climate Change team
Our highly diverse and multi-disciplinary team combines deep subject matter expertise, in-depth understanding of national and global Greenhouse Gas (“GHG”) emissions legislation and reporting frameworks, strategic thinking, and data and technology to meet the equally diverse and fast-evolving needs of our clients.

Our practice’s experience and expertise spans GHG Emissions Reporting and Assurance, Sustainability (or “ESG”) Strategy, Impact Measurement, Climate Risk and Strategy, Work Health and Safety, Crisis Management and Resilience, Risk Culture, Human Rights and Ethics, across a range of assurance and advisory client engagements. 

About our GHG Emissions Reporting and Assurance work
As a Senior Manager focused on GHG emissions reporting and assurance work, you will be working with a variety of blue chip, high-profile clients, helping them to ensure their breadth of GHG emissions and energy-related reporting activities satisfy the requirements of Australia’s suite of emissions and energy legislation, including the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (“NGER”) scheme, the Safeguard Mechanism and the Emissions Reduction Fund, as well as connecting these reporting activities with increasing stakeholder expectations regarding climate change and decarbonisation commitments.  We offer a broad range of services including (but not limited to): 

Assurance and advisory services relating to:

  • NGER reporting
  • Safeguard Mechanism applications
  • Emissions Reduction Fund project offset reports
  • Voluntary GHG emissions and energy data disclosed in Sustainability/ESG Reports
  • GHG emissions inventory development, including consideration of scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.


Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
As a Senior member of our team, your in-depth knowledge of the NGER, Safeguard Mechanism and Emissions Reduction Fund legislation will help us with continuing to service a growing demand for GHG emissions assurance and advisory services and with connecting these reporting activities to broader strategic climate change commitments. You will need to: 

  • Be a Registered Greenhouse and Energy Auditor with the Clean Energy Regulator;
  • Have an in-depth understanding of the NGER, Safeguard Mechanism and Emissions Reduction Fund legislation;
  • Have proven experience with leading and delivering external assurance services in line with the abovementioned legislation to clients with complex emissions and energy footprints;
  • Have a strong understanding of the assurance standards relevant to GHG emissions and broader sustainability reporting;
  • Be responsible for managing engagement risks and financials; 
  • Coach others and establish effective working environments for their teams;
  • Lead proposal development and identify, escalate and shape opportunities; 
  • Have a strong track record of generating work; 
  • Support and deliver firm development; 
  • Have a robust understanding of how GHG emissions reporting connects with broader strategic climate change commitments and relevant reporting frameworks such as TCFD, SASB and GRI; 
  • Be self-driven, intellectually curious, resourceful and flexible;
  • Experience in sustainability/ESG reporting and assurance is desirable. 


Additionally, using your previous GHG emissions assurance or industry experience, you will manage all aspects of the assurance or advisory engagements to deliver high-quality work for our clients. In addition to strong technical expertise, you will have the ability to lead people effectively and build strong rapport and relationships with both our team and client peers you work with. You have a long-standing interest and passion for GHG emissions reporting, and sustainability more broadly, and a naturally curious and fast-learning disposition.
