We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our Data Protection team as part of our Cyber portfolio. You’ll be part of a thriving team focused on shaping & influencing the digital transformation agendas of our clients driven by changes to the Australian and global regulatory environment.

 

 

What will your typical day look like?

 

  • Lead cutting-edge data protection analysis and transformation projects across some of Australia’s most prominent organisations
  • Solve client data protection problems in a forward-thinking and innovative way
  • Support our team’s go to market strategy and the creation and management of our team pipeline
  • Shape and influence the digital transformation agendas of our clients driven by changes to the Australian and global regulatory environment
  • Coach and mentor our team members.

 

This role will provide you with leadership and management of opportunities across the holistic data protection space, addressing practical implementation challenges in areas such as the protection of ‘crown jewel’ data assets, as well as an appreciation for data lifecycle and privacy challenges in data sharing, consent management, records management and customer analytics.

 

The role may see you lead and manage diagnostic assessment activities, through to the design and implementation of data security and/ or privacy controls and technologies across the information lifecycle.

You are someone with:

 

  • Proven management and delivery experience in a data protection, cyber, or data security technology advisory role
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience leading project teams and coaching junior staff desirable
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders effectively at all levels of the organisation
  • Experience in helping organisations to assess their data protection capabilities across the lifecycle, determine strategic priorities, required investment and change impacts
  • Experience working in data privacy and/ or privacy-enabling technologies is desirable
  • A strong desire to develop your leadership skills and impact, providing data protection advice to a range of digital and cyber transformation programs
  • An interest in working across multiple sectors including financial services, technology and media, energy and resources and the public sector
  • Progress towards or completion of certifications is desirable e.g. CISSP, CISM, CIPM, CIPT
