Based in Melbourne, this permanent position offers you the opportunity to design, optimize, and scale AI-driven systems that drive real business impact. You’ll be part of a team that’s pioneering the productionisation of Generative AI, helping shape how advanced technologies are integrated into our client solutions. 

What will your typical day look like? 

Day to day you’ll ensure the efficiency, reliability, and security of our AI systems while exploring emerging technologies to enhance performance and innovation. You’ll collaborate across IT, development, and AI teams to design and maintain the central ClearTrack Gen AI and Assets platform, applying your DevOps expertise to production-grade AI workflows. 

In this role, you’ll: 

• Deploy and manage the central Gen AI and Assets platform on Kubernetes infrastructure. 

• Optimize system performance, reliability, and availability. 

• Troubleshoot and resolve software, network, and infrastructure issues. 

• Implement system security updates and patches, safeguarding sensitive data. 

• Collaborate with development teams to integrate AI-driven innovations. 

• Maintain documentation and ensure robust backup and disaster recovery processes. 

• Contribute to the evolution of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices. 

About the team 

You’ll join Deloitte’s National Generative AI & Assets Team, part of our Strategy, Transformation & Innovation office. We’re leading the integration of AI, design, and software development into Deloitte’s largest client offerings. Our work accelerates productivity, streamlines processes, and enables smarter decision-making. By harnessing advanced technologies, our team ensures Deloitte stays at the cutting edge of AI and innovation, ready to meet the evolving needs of clients with agility and insight. 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you 

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences: 

• 5+ years’ experience as a Systems or DevOps Engineer, preferably with Generative AI exposure. 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. 

• Experience in platform/software development, release management, or managed services environments. 

Technical Skills: 

• Expertise with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP. 

• UNIX/Linux deployment, configuration management, networking, databases, and security. 

• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code, and Immutable Infrastructure. 

• CI/CD tools such as GitHub, ADO, ArgoCD, and DevSecOps technologies. 

• Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform. 

• Familiarity with security protocols: OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect. 

• Strong communicator able to collaborate with diverse teams.
