What will your typical day look like?  

As a Senior Consultant in our Data Management & Strategy team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing data management strategies. You will be responsible for overseeing data management and data migration projects, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data throughout the process. Some of the activities you will support include:

  • Strategy Development
    • Develop data management strategies through requirements gathering and identification of data and analytics use cases.
    • Design and implement robust data migration strategies.
  • Data Governance
    • Operationalise data governance across people, processes, and technology through data lifecycle management.
    • Maximise business value and minimise data quality issues through effective management of data assets.
  • Capability Building
    • Build data management capabilities via operating model design and process optimisation.
    • Streamline data supply chains to enhance evidence-based decision making via the delivery of data management solutions.
  • Project Leadership
    • Lead end-to-end data migration projects, from planning and analysis to execution and validation.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met and data integrity is maintained.
  • Technical Execution
    • Utilise ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
    • Conduct thorough testing and validation of migrated data to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

You are someone with:

  • A sound understanding of data technologies, data governance, data management, data migration, analytics and insights, and business process-based solutions.
  • 2-3 years of experience working with data with a background in data management, data migration, business analysis, solution architecture, process automation, or data & analytics solutions.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as DAMA – DMBoK, CMMI – Data Management Maturity Model, EDM Council – Data Capability Assessment Model (DCAM) and regulatory requirements such as CPG 235 and BCBS239.
  • Hands-on consulting and client management experience.
  • Ability to engage with clients to understand their data management and migration requirements and provide expert advice.
  • Experience of working within a structured project delivery environment.
  • Experience with Data Governance tools such as Informatica, Collibra, or Alation will be highly regarded.
  • Experience with Data Migration solutions and processes will be highly regarded.
