You will bring data protection / security, privacy and risk experience, strategic thinking, communication and interpersonal skills, which will enable you to engage at all levels of an organisation in relation to the data privacy and risk agenda.
 
Playing a critical role in assisting organisations with a wide range of data protection and privacy advisory services, such as development of data protection and/ or privacy strategies, assessment of data and privacy risks against local and international obligations, privacy by design, privacy program design and privacy transformation initiatives to implement new policies, roles, processes and controls across the personal information lifecycle.
 

 

What will your typical day look like?
• Execute complex advisory matters whilst providing excellent stakeholder management
• Participate and work with multi-disciplinary teams across the data protection, privacy and cyber landscape
• Deliver across a portfolio of clients and relationships
• Work closely with other members of the team to lead delivery for projects or workstreams
• Assist in project management activities, including tracking of activity status, risks, issues and mitigations
• Deliver sound and timely data protection and privacy advice, which can include the following:
     o Definition and implementation of data protection and privacy requirements, policies, standards, guidelines and procedures
     o Perform privacy obligations analysis and mapping
     o Provide privacy advisory support and guidance
     o Performing privacy risk assessments and ongoing privacy compliance monitoring activities
     o Lead evaluation of emerging data protection and privacy issues
     o Design and/or execute privacy by designing assessments for digital transformation engagements
     o Manage privacy-related compliance activities
     o Utilise risk and obligations assessment and analysis
     o Data breach advisory support
 

About the team
Deloitte’s Digital Trust team shape and influence data and privacy transformation agendas for clients. Contribute to data, privacy and risk assessment processes and address practical implementation challenges in areas such as data collection, use, sharing, retention, and customer analytics.

 

Enough about us, let's talk about you.
You may have all or some of the following skills / experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Systems, Information Technology, Mathematics, Science, Economics, Business, Engineering, Computer Science or related fields 
• 3-5 years relevant experience, including:
     o Experience in helping organisations to assess their cyber security capability, determine strategic priorities and investment for cyber security, perform security risk assessments
     o Experience in delivering data and privacy assessment, advisory and transformation projects
• Industry recognised information security and data protection qualification (CIPP/E, PDP/ CDPP/ ECDPO)
• Experience in data privacy strategy definition and governance and data protection and privacy process execution and practices
• Knowledge of data security solutions (e.g. data loss prevention, CASB) and data and information governance/ management practices
• Understanding of relevant privacy laws and regulations and applicability to various business lines, including European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Asia-Pacific privacy regulations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
