Senior Consultant | Information, Content & Regulatory Transformation
Melbourne, VIC, AU Sydney, NSW, AU
Job Requisition ID: 41538
- Solve complex information and content problems for major Australian organisations.
- Build practical solutions from strategy and design through to implementation.
- Develop a distinctive career spanning knowledge, information governance, content technology, automation, AI, regulatory transformation and M&A.
We combine data and content technology, responsible AI and digital solutions to manage risk, maintain trust and navigate significant operational, regulatory and M&A change. We help clients protect value and meet their obligations and commitments to customers, employees, regulators, shareholders and the community.
Make information work harder for people, AI and the organisation
Organisations are investing heavily in AI and digital transformation, but many still cannot find, trust, govern or safely use the information that underpins them. Critical knowledge is fragmented, content sits across complex and ageing platforms, recordkeeping obligations are difficult to manage, and document-heavy processes remain manual.
We help large organisations turn fragmented information into trusted, governed and usable business assets. Our work spans strategy through implementation: knowledge management; information governance and records; content platforms, migration and process automation; governed enterprise knowledge for AI; regulatory digitisation; and M&A data separation or integration through major transactions.
You will work with multidisciplinary teams on complex programs where business outcomes, information controls and technology delivery must come together. This is not a purely advisory role: we are looking for people who can move from problem definition and design into implementation and measurable outcomes.
What will your typical day look like?
- Own defined work packages and deliver high-quality outputs with clear milestones, risks and dependencies.
- Analyse information, content, processes and technology to identify root causes, risks and improvement opportunities.
- Interview stakeholders and facilitate focused workshops, translating business needs into requirements, designs and implementation actions.
- Contribute to strategies, operating models, architectures, controls, roadmaps, migration plans and business cases.
- Contribute hands-on to technology delivery, which may include configuration, integration, migration, testing, deployment, automation or data analysis, depending on your specialisation.
- Use analytics, discovery and AI tools to assess large information environments and recommend what should be protected, retained, remediated, migrated or disposed of.
- Prepare clear client deliverables and communicate findings to business and technology audiences.
- Contribute to proposals, reusable methods and the development of more junior team members.
About the team
You will join a growing national team based in Sydney and Melbourne, working with major organisations across financial services, government, insurance, resources, utilities and other sectors.
Our work spans four connected areas: knowledge management, information governance and records; data and content platforms, migration and process automation; trusted knowledge, responsible AI and regulatory digitisation; and M&A data separation and integration.
We have deep experience in knowledge and records strategies; data and content platform modernisation, migration and process automation; analytics-led rationalisation of large information estates; and controlled M&A data separation and integration. We are building on this foundation through governed enterprise knowledge, semantic retrieval, AI-assisted workflows and digitised obligations, controls and evidence.
We bring together business advisers, information specialists, architects and technology practitioners. You will have the opportunity to deepen your specialisation, broaden into adjacent areas and help shape the next generation of these services.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
For this role, the following experience is required:
- Demonstrated professional judgement and integrity, including the ability to manage independence, conflicts, confidentiality, responsible AI, delivery quality and client accountability.
- Experience in consulting or the delivery of complex enterprise projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Deep expertise in at least one of the capability areas below; you do not need to be an expert in all of them.
- Hands-on technology implementation experience, for example configuration, integration, migration, testing, deployment, intelligent document processing or process automation.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to make complex issues clear and practical.
- Structured problem-solving and sound project discipline, with the ability to manage priorities and consistently deliver high-quality work.
- Confidence working with both business and technical stakeholders in ambiguous or fast-moving environments.
Where you may bring your depth
We are hiring a multidisciplinary team. You need deep expertise in at least one area, not every area, and an interest in building capability across adjacent fields.
- Knowledge, information governance and records. Knowledge strategy and operating models; enterprise search; taxonomy, metadata and classification; document and records management; retention and disposal; privacy, sensitivity, legal hold and information-risk controls.
- Data and content platforms, migration and process automation. Data and content platform strategy, architecture and implementation; migration, consolidation and decommissioning; integration with case, claims, customer, asset and other core systems; intelligent document processing; workflow and automation.
- Trusted knowledge, responsible AI and regulatory digitisation. AI-ready information; semantic models and knowledge products; retrieval and agent solutions; provenance, permissions and guardrails; obligations, policies, controls and evidence; AI-enabled monitoring, review and regulatory workflows.
- M&A data separation and integration. Experience across the transaction lifecycle from pre-signing data diligence and strategy, deal perimeter, dependencies, separation or integration approach, risks and cost-to-achieve; through signing-to-close planning, Day 1 readiness and data TSA design and mobilisation; to post-close TSA operation and exit, separation, integration, migration, remediation, reconciliation and assurance.
Experience with enterprise content, workflow, search, automation, data or AI technologies is useful. Examples include Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Purview; OpenText, Hyland, Box, RecordPoint or EncompaaS; Microsoft Power Platform; Databricks, Snowflake and modern search, retrieval or AI platforms. No single product background is required.
