About the team

The Investment & Wealth Advisory team sits within the within Deloitte’s Consulting business.

The Investment & Wealth Advisory team are highly experienced and specialised management consultant professionals who help their clients to solve complex business issues by combining process with deep industry knowledge and expertise.

We work across a broad range of clients including superannuation funds, asset owners and investment managers. You will be working alongside a high performing team of consultants with a strong commitment to excellence, innovation, and teamwork.

 

What will your typical day look like?

We are seeking a motivated and capable Senior Consultant to join the Deloitte Consulting Investment & Wealth Advisory team in Melbourne. You will be working in a dynamic, client-facing role helping to solve key problems across the superannuation and investment management sectors.

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Supporting a wide variety of superannuation assignments ranging from M&A due diligence to benchmarking fees & costs. In addition, you will support investment manager operational due diligence and operating model assessment and design engagements
  • Delivering quality output in a timely manner
  • Clearly and succinctly documenting your analysis and conclusions
  • Contributing to our thought leadership and research, with the aim of re-enforcing our ambition to be a recognised industry leader
  • Assisting with client proposals and development of our go-to-market initiatives across our investment and wealth advisory services
  • Building client relationships via successful delivery of engagements

 

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with:

  • A Bachelor and/or Masters degree in finance, accounting, economics or another commerce discipline.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years specialist knowledge of the superannuation and investment management industry gained from working either at a superannuation fund, at an investment manager and/or a professional services/consulting firm.
  • High performance focus with the ability to work cohesively in a team or individually, in order to deliver high quality outcomes
  • An ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong report writing skills including preparation of presentations
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills e.g. delivering presentations, workshop facilitation
  • Strong, demonstrable analytical and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to professional and client service excellence
  • Willingness and desire to work on client projects across multiple sectors as needed
