Senior Consultant - Fullstack & Analytics Engineer
Melbourne, VIC, AU
Job Requisition ID: 41179
Senior Consultant - Fullstack & Analytics Engineer
- Build client-facing applications, dashboards and data-driven tools using modern cloud and data platform technologies
- Learn full-stack development, Databricks, DevOps, reliability engineering and AI-assisted delivery in a supportive team
- Work on real client problems across performance improvement, analytics and complex transformation
Join a growing engineering and analytics team within Deloitte’s Performance Improvement practice. This is an opportunity for an early-career developer to work across full-stack application development, data analytics, Databricks-enabled delivery, platform engineering, reliability, testing, automation and AI-assisted workflows.
You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that builds and maintains client-facing applications and analytics assets used in complex transformation and performance improvement engagements. Our platforms help clients understand their data, manage workflows, track outcomes and make better decisions.
This role is designed for someone early in their career who is curious, practical and keen to learn. You don’t need to be an expert in every area. We’re looking for someone with strong technical fundamentals, a reliability mindset, an interest in data, and the motivation to grow into a well-rounded engineer who can work across software, cloud and analytics platforms.
What will your typical day look like?
- Day to day, you’ll work with senior engineers, analytics specialists and client delivery teams to build, improve and support cloud-based applications and analytics solutions.
- You may be developing React components, updating backend endpoints, writing tests, improving deployment pipelines, investigating production issues, documenting runbooks, querying data, building Databricks notebooks, supporting data transformation workflows, helping structure Delta tables, or contributing to dashboards and reporting outputs.
- You’ll work across a modern technology stack that includes React, TypeScript, Node.js, Azure Functions, CI/CD pipelines, SQL and Databricks. You’ll also be encouraged to use AI coding assistants responsibly to accelerate your work, while learning how to verify outputs, question assumptions and maintain quality standards.
- This is not a narrow feature development role and not a pure data analyst role. You’ll contribute to product features while also learning how to make systems and analytics workflows more reliable, observable, secure and maintainable.
Over time, you’ll grow your capability across full-stack development, analytics engineering, Databricks, testing, DevOps, documentation, reliability practices and AI-assisted delivery.
