The role will be based out of Melbourne and it will be a permanent role.

What will your typical day look like?

The Senior Assistant (SA) is the primary contact and concierge for EA Partners, overseeing administrative tasks and procedures to ensure smooth and productive operations. The Senior Assistant is a key enabler for the leader, proactively managing communication, information flow, and stakeholder engagement. By anticipating their needs, you will allow them to focus on strategic, high-impact activities.

Your role is crucial in maintaining client orientation, confidentiality on any sensitive information, and ensuring all interactions align with the firm’s broader business objectives.

As a Senior Assistant, you will be the trusted right hand to a member of the National Executive, managing complex schedules, coordinating meetings across multiple time zones, and ensuring they have everything they need to focus on strategic priorities.

Your day will be a blend of diary management, inbox coordination, stakeholder engagement, and event planning. Whether you're drafting correspondence, preparing reports, or liaising with key internal and external contacts including our Australian National Executive, AP, Global colleagues, and clients; you will be at the heart of executive operation at Deloitte. You'll also play a vital role in planning travel itineraries and arranging impactful meetings, conferences, and town halls.

This is much more than just an administrative role; it’s an opportunity to influence, anticipate needs, and drive efficiency at the highest levels.

You will have the ability to establish strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. This is an autonomous role which will allow you to pre-empt your Partner’s needs and take the required action.

You are someone who has experience with:

  • Curiosity and a genuine interest in the business, a desire to be part of it’s success
  • Collaborating with a dynamic leadership team, including the Chief of Staff
  • Extensive diary management
  • Setting up internal, external, and international meetings
  • Creation and management of documentation
  • Managing timesheets, expenses, and travel
  • Knowledge / experience in WIP and debtors
  • Proactive thinking on the Partner’s needs
  • Co-ordinate the setting up and maintenance of client specific resources
  • Coordinating client events, including alumni nationally
