You know what good looks like in Treasury, Internal Audit, and Risk. Join a growing team where you'll help Australia's top banks navigate regulatory complexity, strengthen their risk frameworks, and stay ahead of what's coming next

What will your typical day look like?

No two days here are the same, but they all matter. You'll be embedded in work that sits at the heart of how Australia's biggest banks manage risk, capital, and liquidity, and you'll see the direct impact of your advice on their decision-making.

On any given day, you might be:
•    Reviewing a major bank's liquidity or capital risk framework and presenting your findings to senior stakeholders
•    Validating market risk models (traded and non-traded) and challenging assumptions with confidence
•    Advising treasury teams on their policies, procedures, and operating models
•    Assessing the impact of new or evolving APRA prudential standards and helping clients get ahead of regulatory change
•    Supporting internal audit engagements across treasury and capital markets functions
•    Valuing complex financial instruments or working through capital planning and ICAAP scenarios
•    Contributing to recovery and resolution planning under CPS190 and CPS900

You won't just be producing reports. You'll be in the room with CFOs, CROs, and Heads of Treasury, helping them solve problems that shape how their institutions operate.

About the team

We're a close-knit, high-calibre team within Deloitte's Financial Services practice, and we're growing. We work with Australia's leading banks and financial institutions on Treasury, Capital and Liquidity Risk, and Financial Risk Management, helping them meet regulatory obligations, strengthen their risk practices, and build more resilient balance sheets.

We're also expanding into emerging assurance sectors, which means you'll have the opportunity to help shape new offerings and build something, not just deliver business as usual. The Partners and Directors you'll work alongside are genuinely invested in your development. This isn't a team where you get lost in the crowd.

Your trajectory here is real: we actively develop our people along the pathway from Manager to Senior Manager, Director, and Partner, and you'll have mentors who've walked that path themselves.

Enough about us, let's talk about you.

You're someone who combines deep technical knowledge with the ability to communicate clearly and build trust with senior clients. You're rigorous but not rigid. You bring structure to complex problems, and you're energised by the pace of regulatory change in financial services.

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:
•    Banking industry experience in internal/external audit, risk, or treasury roles
•    Working knowledge of APRA Prudential Standards such as APS110, APS111, APS116, APS117, APS210 and related frameworks
•    Hands-on experience across liquidity risk, capital management, treasury operations, and market risk
•    Exposure to capital planning, ICAAP, and recovery/resolution planning (CPS190 and CPS900)
•    A structured, methodical approach to delivering reviews, validations, and assurance activities
•    Genuine interest in financial markets and the regulatory landscape. You stay across what's changing and why it matters
•    Strong communication skills. You can translate technical findings into clear, actionable advice
•    A collaborative mindset. You thrive in a team environment and you're open to new approaches
•    Relevant qualifications such as CA, CPA, CFA, or CIA are advantageous
