What will your typical day look like?

You will:

  • Be a trusted advisor: Support clients to uplift their IT governance, risk, and control frameworks and operating models, helping them navigate an evolving risk landscape.
  • Lead from the front: Plan, manage and deliver a broad range of IT assurance and technology risk engagements, driving quality outcomes for clients.
  • Influence decision-makers: Deliver clear, practical insights and recommendations to senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Drive innovation: Identify opportunities to enhance IT risk management, internal audit and control assurance approaches through smarter, more efficient practices.
  • Build your brand: Develop strong relationships internally and externally, contributing to thought leadership and strengthening your professional profile.
  • Contribute to our growth: Support business development activities, including proposals and client pursuits, as we continue to expand our market presence.

As part of Deloitte’s Control Assurance team, you’ll work with some of Australia’s largest and most influential organisations, supporting them to strengthen their IT governance, risk and control environments. These frameworks are critical to protecting brand, customers and community trust.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

You may have all or some of the following skills and experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in IT internal audit, technology risk, advisory or consulting, with exposure to managing engagements or workstreams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience designing, assessing or testing technology controls within Internal Audit, an in-house assurance function or external audit environment.
  • Proven ability to prepare high-quality reports, proposals and presentations for clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness, including experience supporting business development and building trusted client relationships.
  • Experience delivering technology assurance engagements within professional services, with familiarity in standards such as ASAE 3150, SOC 1 and SOC 2 highly regarded.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP or similar are advantageous.
  • Exposure to APRA prudential standards including CPS 234 (Information Security), CPS 230 (Operational Risk Management) and CPG 235 (Managing Data Risk) will be viewed favourably.
