What will your typical day look like?

As a key member of the Q&R Risk Transformation team, you will work across Australia and Asia Pacific, engaging stakeholders at all levels to understand and analyse business improvement opportunities, leveraging data and analytics to provide risk insights to internal business units. You will help develop data driven prototypes and build reports using Tableau, PowerBI, PowerPoint and/or Excel.  In this role you will be involved in a diverse range of projects, concurrently working on the inception of one project, while being in the delivery stage of another. 


Understanding the needs of all stakeholders, you will streamline and automate the process of insights generation. You will be involved in creating and developing various dashboards and reports that help the business in monitoring compliance and KPIs. You will help stakeholders meet their business goals and help them do what they do better through the automation of processes and product creation, using data to gain insight into the business that we don’t have today.


Working closely with your supportive team, you will be involved in building dashboards, analytics, and data analysis tools, fixing issues which occur during and after this process and helping people understand related issues, processes, and risks along the way.


About the team 

The Quality & Risk team are experienced risk professionals who provide advice across Deloitte's business teams. We help teams navigate through any ethical / professional uncertainties by analysing and managing their risks on their business engagements. In Risk Transformation, we are the driving force for innovation and change within the Quality & Risk community – dissatisfied with the status-quo, we continually seek ways to improve the delivery of our advice, while enhancing the client and stakeholder experience. The Risk Data and Analytics team specifically provides Q&R teams with Data and Analytics subject matter expertise, implementation support, advice, and strategy.

You love to work in the world of data and analytics-driven insight, uncovering the needs and wants of customers and businesses and being involved in the new products being developed.

  • You are someone with at least 2 years’ experience in building reports/dashboards and has data analysis experience in a similar role, preferably in a large corporate organisation.

  • Experience in data analysis and reports development, ideally within an agile delivery framework.

  • Ability to work on projects from inception to completion, to understand, document and track the data insights needed and develop the necessary dashboards/reports.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and demands on a day-to-day basis, delivering outcomes to the Q&R teams across the firm.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills enabling you to prepare clear and concise reports and presentations and conduct interviews to capture stakeholder insights.

  • Ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders and facilitate communication between technical and non-technical audiences ensuring technology solutions fulfil the stakeholder’s business needs.
    Ideally you will have the following technical skills:

  • At least 2 years’ experience working with visualisation tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik.

  • Ability to map out a business process and generate process flow documents is a plus.

  • Database querying (pref. SQL), analysis, and data visualisation skills or demonstrated background/ capacity to learn.

  • Strong experience with at least one reporting tool (Tableau, PowerBI or others), Microsoft Office Tools (Word, PPT. Excel, Visio, and Project).
