What will your typical day look like?  

 

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Program Manager to join our rapidly growing Infrastructure & Industrials team. You will provide support to our clients by applying the following skills and experience: 

  • Applying structured problem-solving approaches to design and play a leadership role on some of the most visible and important national programs across the Defence, National Security and wider government sectors. 
  • Engaging directly with high profile clients and senior leadership to shape their most important and challenging transformation programs, and develop and apply strategies to solve their priority operational problems.
  • Driving the strategic oversight, governance, delivery and integration of a complex suite of initiatives designed to modernise logistics operations, uplift supply chain capability, and achieve more effective and resilient logistics networks.
  • Leading a multi-disciplinary team of high-performing individuals providing senior-level engagement across client, industry, and internal stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of program outcomes.

You are a highly motivated individual with: 

  • Over 10 years of proven experience as a program or project manager, having led large-scale, complex operations/transformation programs, and/or successfully managed the delivery of a portfolio of projects end-to-end ensuring alignment with organisational strategy.
  • A strong track record of coordinating the planning and delivery of a complex suite of initiatives – ranging from the procurement and integration of new assets, and/or infrastructure upgrade works, ensuring alignment with engineering, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Significant experience working with senior leadership teams to build trusted relationships and provide high quality strategic advice to support effective decision-making and deliver transformation outcomes.
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal to engage with senior stakeholders.
  • The ability to deliver compelling arguments at executive and working level.
  • A proven ability to mentor and build team capabilities, bringing together multi-disciplinary consulting teams across project delivery, commercial, operational, and technical disciplines.
  • A strong sense of team and passion to develop others as well as self.
  • A passion for collaboration and delivering a real-world impact.
  • Australian citizenship.
  • NV1 or higher clearance preferred – or a minimum AGSVA Baseline clearance and the ability to gain NV1 clearance.

 

The following experience is preferred but not essential: 

  • Previous consulting experience including strategy, infrastructure program and project delivery, operating model design and organisational change.
  • Demonstrated expertise applying program/project management methodologies (e.g., MSP, PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile).
  • Defence capability management and/or program delivery in government, capital intensive organisations or in similarly regulated environments (Defence experience highly regarded).
  • The ability to manage complex commercial and contracting processes, ideally in government or regulated environments.
  • Experience in energy sector systems (including liquid fuels), energy infrastructure, supply chain resilience or national-level logistics networks.
