We are seeking an exceptional Platfrom Engineer to join the T&T National Office. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact, contribute to major opportunities, and set Deloitte apart in the market. We are open to internal candidates from any location.

 

 

 

What will your typical day look like? 

You will be responsible for: 

  • Technical delivery of Azure DevOps and Azure solutions 

  • Working directly with internal teams and clients to discuss requirements, taking ownership of technical tasks, and providing status updates 

  • Preparing estimates for changes 

  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation 

  • Staying current with best practice and identifying ways we can enhance our approach 

  • Ensuring services are provided to internal teams and clients to agreed service levels 

  • Maintaining environments for internal teams and clients across a range of technologies. 

 

 

About the team 

This team is responsible for managing several critical tools used by the T&T delivery teams, with a particular focus on administering Atlassian Jira. They also oversee the Azure DevOps repository environment, which is separate from both GitHub and the ITS version of Azure DevOps. In addition to technical management, the team handles the centralisation of costs associated with these tools, helping ensure efficient financial oversight and streamlined operations for the broader delivery teams. 

 

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you. 

You have proven experience in developing, and delivering infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform, Azure DevOps pipelines, and an understanding of how to use automation to improve efficiencies in development lifecycles. To be awesome in this role you must have: 

  • 3+ years of DevOps/Sysadmin experience, ideally gained in a consulting / agency environment with tier one clients 

  • Kubernetes and container production with AKS 

  • Azure DevOps pipeline design and implementation  

  • Azure administration (Azure Active Directory admin) 

  • Cloud hosting with Azure, using infrastructure-as-code tools 

  • Self-motivated, problem-crushing attitude 

  • Automation skills – scripting, Ansible, Packer, etc. 

  • You’re a team player and you just want things to work reliably and consistently 

Desirable experience (will be considered an advantage): 

  • 4+ years of DevOps/sysadmin experience, ideally gained in a consulting / agency environment with tier one clients 

  • Linux administration experience 

  • Sitecore CMS experience 

  • Atlassian suite Administration – Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket 

  • Software Engineering or Computer Science tertiary qualifications 

  • SQL database management or administration 

  • Understanding of ITIL service delivery lifecycle 

  • General system engineering or system administration
