Role Summary
As an Observability Manager, you will lead end-to-end delivery of observability solutions for enterprise clients, helping them improve system reliability, performance, and transparency. You will be responsible for solution architecture, stakeholder engagement, team leadership, and ensuring best practices across implementation and operations. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with a strong focus on delivery excellence, team development, and client value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of observability platforms (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk, New Relic, Datadog) across client environments.
- Own delivery across client engagements including scoping, planning, execution, and reporting.
- Define and execute observability strategies aligned to client SRE, DevOps, and Cloud objectives.
- Provide technical guidance on monitoring, alerting, logging, and distributed tracing.
- Manage and mentor a small team of observability consultants and engineers.
- Drive adoption of automated monitoring practices and continuous improvement of monitoring maturity.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, development, and platform teams to embed observability across SDLC.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering proactive recommendations and roadmaps.
- Support pre-sales efforts including proposal development, solution design, and client presentations.
Key Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in IT consulting, infrastructure operations, or observability roles.
- Experience with leading observability platforms such as Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk, or New Relic.
- Strong technical knowledge in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP), DevOps, and automation tools.
- Experience implementing SLOs, SLIs, dashboards, alerting workflows, and synthetic monitoring.
- Demonstrated success managing small teams and delivering projects on time and within scope.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications in observability, cloud, or ITIL are highly desirable.
