Join Deloitte as a Senior Engineer in our Network Engineering team and help shape secure, cloud-ready and operationally intelligent environments for leading organisations.

What will your typical day look like?

From assessment through to design, implementation and optimisation, your work will span secure networking solutions across enterprise networking, cloud networking and network security. A strong focus of the role is bringing automation and Infrastructure as Code into client environments, using tooling, configuration management, monitoring and reporting to lift capability and performance.

You'll contribute to modernisation, migration and transformation programs for critical network environments, helping clients improve resilience, security and operational visibility. The work is hands-on and varied, with scope to solve complex engineering challenges and influence how modern network environments are built.

Working closely with cloud, infrastructure and application development teams, you'll share knowledge, shape better engineering practices and help deliver meaningful outcomes. This is a role where technical depth, curiosity and collaboration all matter, and where you'll keep building your expertise across adjacent disciplines.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:

• 3-5 years' experience in network engineering and network security

• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, load balancing and firewall technologies

• Experience across network assessment, design, delivery, migration or transformation work

• Exposure to cloud networking in AWS, Microsoft Azure or GCP

• Experience with technologies such as Palo Alto Networks, Check Point, Fortinet, Zscaler, Netskope or Illumio

• Understanding of automation, Infrastructure as Code, SDN, NetDevOps or CI/CD in network environments

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to contribute to workshops, maintain design documentation and explain technical concepts clearly to different audiences

• Australian citizenship and a current government security clearance, or the ability to meet government clearance requirements, may be needed for some opportunities
