Modelling & Insights - Director
We’re growing our Modelling & Insights team in Melbourne and we are looking for a Director who is curious, commercially minded and excited by solving complex problems that really matter.
In this role, you’ll work at the heart of major transactions and capital investment decisions, partnering with leading organisations across the private and public sectors. You’ll be supported by a high-performing, collaborative team who genuinely enjoy what they do, invest in each other’s development, and celebrate success.

What will your typical day look like?
- Support clients throughout the decision-making processes, using outstanding technical and commercial skills on strategic and transactional projects.
- To support your advice, you will be involved in the design, development and review of financial modelling and analytics solutions for a range of client sectors and industries.
- Lead business development initiatives and then execute the end-to-end delivery of engagements.
- Mentor and coach junior team members and lead projects independently within a supporting team environment.
- Connect and collaborate across Deloitte’s M&A practice and the Firm more broadly.
About the team
Our Modelling & Insights team advises clients on their most critical capital decisions, from mergers and acquisitions to major infrastructure and growth investments.
Our advice is underpinned by robust, fit-for-purpose financial models that help clients test assumptions, understand risk and make confident, well-informed decisions. Beyond transactions, we support clients with forecasting, scenario planning and business case development, often in complex and high-profile situations.

You don’t need to tick every box, but you’ll likely bring:
- A passion for advising clients make critical strategic and transaction decisions.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills with a drive to solve problems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- At least 10 years’ experience and ambition to grow your career to become a Partner at Deloitte.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and interest in mastering financial modelling.
- A curious mind, an ambitious perspective and a positive attitude.
