The Risk and Regulatory team advises some of Australia’s largest and most influential organisations on their governance, risk, compliance and control frameworks as well as the risk and regulatory impacts of major change.

What will your typical day look like?

Client delivery
•    Advise clients on their operating model, embedding leading practice around governance, risks, controls and compliance 
•    Problem-solve and project manage junior team members to help clients respond to emergent risks and regulation
•    Help clients deliver major enterprise change as they respond to risk and regulatory priorities, whilst protecting the interests of internal and external stakeholders
•    Manage client relationships during engagements
•    Present insights and recommendations to Senior Management and Executive stakeholders

Team leader
•    Play a passionate and meaningful role in developing the careers of team members by enhancing their governance, risks, controls and compliance capabilities
•    Manage high performing project teams and manage individual performance at a project level
•    Contribute to the culture and development of wider team of peers outside of a project environment and mentor junior staff as they develop their careers 

Business growth
•    Manage projects with responsibility for quality, client service and project financials
•    Invest time building relationships and profile in the market and in the Firm
•    Contribute to the development of the business by taking an authentic interest in the challenging problems faced by existing and new clients

You may have all or some of the following skills / experience:

Advisory skills
•    A working knowledge of Governance, Risks, Controls and Regulatory matters relevant to the Financial Services industry
•    Good commercial intelligence, an understanding of how large organisations operate
•    Passionate about making an impact at the top end of town
•    Experience in complex problem solving, consulting or business improvement preferred
•    Experience conducting analysis (desktop research, data analysis, reviewing documents etc.) and synthesising into digestible outputs (e.g. reports)
•    Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong relationships  
•    Strong facilitation skills
•    Experience with developing high quality business development materials
•    Experience leading and mentoring teams with a passion to develop others 
•    Curiosity to learn, reinvent yourself and proactivity bring forward ideas

Technical background
We are a multidisciplinary team with a wide variety of backgrounds. You would be a good fit for this role if you have experience in:  
•    Enterprise risk strategy and governance, risk and compliance, designing and implementing contemporary frameworks and operating models across the Three Lines of Defence
•    Experience in the financial services sectors, including banking, wealth and/or insurance would be advantageous

•    Experience in delivering on complex risk and regulatory topics, such as business continuity, third party risk management, operational resilience, data risk management and/or operational risk management 
•    Leading and overseeing significant organisational transformation e.g. merger / demerger, risk and regulatory transformation, operating model refresh and restructuring
•    Process improvement, lean / data driven analysis, and experience in designing processes and governance (oversight) of those processes
•    Prior professional services experience would be advantageous
