Deloitte’s Workforce Transformation team works with leading organisations to help them define their future workforce, from defining strategic business capabilities, to workforce planning, workforce analytics and insights through the delivery of talent, leadership and learning interventions to address gaps and enhance workforce performance. Deloitte’s Workforce Transformation services leverage research, analytics, and industry insights to help design and execute critical programs.


What will your typical day look like?

As a Manager within our Workforce Transformation team, you will lead the plan, design, and delivery of high impact projects for our clients across Australia. You will also lead delivery teams of high performing analysts, consultants, and senior consultants to ensure quality outcomes and deliverables. You will work on strategically important projects and deliver exceptional client service to some of Australia’s largest and most iconic clients – helping them solve challenges that truly matter to their organisation. 

Within Workforce Activation – Learning, you’ll support the consultation, design, development and delivery of innovative, memorable and highly effective learning experiences, with a focus on:

  • Learning strategy and advisory: Building high performing learning functions and fit-for-purpose learning strategies to support business transformations and goals
  • Learning design: Create impactful and innovative learning experiences that incorporate pedagogy learning principles with a range of blended learning modalities
  • Learning development: Support the build of learning assets, modules and programs to support instructor-led and digital learning (including deployment on LMS and LXP solutions)
  • Learning facilitation: Support our clients to understand the learning need through facilitation of development programs, coaching, team dynamics workshops and train the trainer sessions


As part of our greater Workforce Transformation team, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to workforce strategy design, strategic workforce planning and analytics, leadership strategy and development, evidence based talent management practices and designing for the future of work

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing our team. Strong leadership and influencing abilities within the team and with external stakeholder groups will ensure your success in this position. 
We are looking for a professional who has worked in either private or public sectors, ideally with consulting experience (or similar stakeholder management experience), and who has experience leading teams to solve business challenges in the disciplines related to Workforce Strategy, Leadership Development, Learning, Talent Management or Future of Work. Experience in the following areas is highly regarded: 



  • Consulting experience – working in a professional services consulting environment (Big 4 or Boutique) or working in an internal consulting function
  • Stakeholder management experience – partnering with senior stakeholders across multiple departments to understand the Human Capital needs and deliver solutions with strong buy-in. 
  • Leadership experience – ability to guide, direct, coach, develop and performance manage teams
  • Learning & Development experience – such as:
  • Instructional Design – Learning Needs Analysis using human centred design to understand the learning opportunity and designing learning objectives. 
  • Technical and leadership learning pathways – identify and design both technical and leadership development pathways aligned to job architecture and competency frameworks
  • Learning asset design – such as workshop design, curating learning content and bite-sized performance tools
  • eLearning Development – using eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Suite, Adobe Suite, etc
  • Video/Graphic design – using tools such as Camtasia, Captivate, Vyond
  • Learning implementation – deploying programs including implementation onto LMS and LXPs
  • Learning delivery – using human centred design and interactive methods to deliver learning experiences direct to learners and/or educating trainers to facilitate. 
  • Learning assessment – using Kirkpatrick assessment model to understand all 5 levels of effectiveness of learning on behaviour change, engagement, retention and productivity. 
  • Ways of working – using either Waterfall project management, Agile development cycle or similar frameworks to partner with SME’s and clients to design effective and impactful learning experiences. 
  • Leveraging learning technologies and platforms – experience with a range of LMS, LXP and micro-learning platforms
  • Contract/Vendor management experience – partnering with external parties to support project execution, including vendor onboarding, contract management, budgets and on-time delivery
  • Experience with workforce or people strategy design, career architecture, leadership development, talent management interventions or organisational design is desirable
  • Background and/or professional qualifications in behavioural sciences (i.e. organisational psychology), HR, Learning and Development and/or Business studies
